Hi Simon!!! nice bargain finds and they all seems to be in good conditions too..... that Simple Red album was so big back in the 80's and still sounds cool. Congrats on ACDC's "If You Want Blood...." that's an awesome, but to short live recording. cheers and be well
Hi Simon. If I search 'Digital Dale' it doesn't come up with any of your videos. If I search 'Vinyl Dale', there's no problem. I personally think Vinyl Dale name better reflects the potential audience for your channel. It doesn't matter if you mostly show CDs; it's still all music-related ... There are a couple of records here that I recognised (from your livestream probably) - Del Shannon for example (very nice) ... The Simon & Garfunkel album is fine for a debut. It has the original acoustic version of 'Sound Of Silence', before the producer added electric instruments without telling S&G and the record label released it (again without telling S&G) ... Can't go wrong with Dexys Midnight Runners.
@@carltweed942 your right, thanks for watching Carl
What's the next channel name change? ... Streaming Dale😮

Great vid Simon..Elton John looks bizarre on that album cover..check out his performance of rocket man from glasto a few years ago..amazing and will going at 80! Love the sound of china crisis too, love Christian aswell as the main hits obviously! Long live vinyl Dale!

Excellent pick-ups Simon. The Elton double album is a steal at a tenner. I only have it on CD and would love it on vinyl as I think it's his best double comp... you are a jammy sod getting the poster with the Blondie album (I've already contacted 'Elmut to snaffle it lol)... I do have the UK copy of Del Shannon's Drop down and get me. It's a good album but if you don't have Rock On from 1990 do seek it out as it is brilliant and also has Tom Petty's invlovement.
Rock on!
If I can get the other copy that too has a poster do you want it?
@@vinyldale that's very kind of you but I'm sure I can get it on discogs at some stage. Iain mentioned a video we could do. I would be all in for it if it is still on the cards.
@@CookieMusic43 still on the cards, need to speak with Iain wether it's something he's willing to host on his channel, if not over at mine, but definitely up for it

I can't promise anything, it's always handy to have spare copies of that album
Still cataloguing mine so no idea what they are worth. Some really cool items there mate, well not take that, but I'll excuse you that one. 😆
It seems kinda funny that you just recently bought some more. Stillif you ripped them to your computer then it doesn't matter. If it makes space for dedicated artist releases then fair play to you bud. my main thing with these now is best ofs or sound tracks. Never gonna have time to listen to them all again I doubt,
@@NotSuitableForMum I know, I guess cd's especially compilations can be picked up so cheap these days there virtually disposable once you ripped them, when you have years worth of collecting them it gets to a point of clearing some to make room
Some nice compilations there mate. Perfect for sticking on the old stereo and just leaving to play. Probably have given the soap one a miss though, lol. Not a massive fan of Bjork but seen her live and she was pretty good. Need the Skunk Ansie mix of Army of me on cd single. Nice to see some Lego.

Hi 👋 Greetings from New Zealand. I have a large music collection. I liked the Cars debut album in 1978. But after that they became boring. I like Blondie. I had three albums of their back in the day. Parallel Lines 1978 , which contained the massive hit Heart of Glass , Eat to the Beat 1979 , and AutoAmerican 1980. Pet Shop Boys put out good pop music in the 1980s. But i dont like their new music. From Carl.
@@user-ix4wn1th5m I have a few cars albums on vinyl, Eat to the Beat by blondie on vinyl but that's the only album of I have of blondie, I only own a couple of comps of the pet shop boys, sometimes a compilation is enough, thanks Carl 👍
@@vinyldale Yes , I own a lot of compilations.
When you look on discogs and order that record label by catalogue number there are quite a few numbers that are missing from the ARHSLP series, not just 012. Why don't you add it to discogs? Somebody needs to be the first person. 013 is Tears for Fears -The seeds of love but its an incredibly scarce record looking at the number of people that own it. Maybe they just didn't press many for some reason.
@@medigger_youviewer5794 I have thought about that, I think I will add it to discogs at some point
Dude that album is a complete mystery 0% on line information, the only information I can give is that Miles showell has not worked on this album (big chair) but he did do the hurting half speed tho so maybe that label got mistakenly applied to the wrong album??
@@Elvis_101_TMS I know, what a mystery! Abbey Road Online customer enquiries have confirmed it's legit, but still there's no online trace of it, how strange, if I was to sell, how much do you think I should ask for it?
@@vinyldale well it's either three things I think either it's a genuine album but not a half speed master( label mix) up or its been released early that's why showell has no credits on his discography yet or someone has messed up at distribution, when it comes to price jeez I think it's what ever you want really it's a 1 of a kind at the moment..
I should really start looking at 7" singles i always tend to pass them buy, thanks for sharing 👍
@@Elvis_101_TMS I tend to just go for the picture sleeves most of the time
@vinyldale yeah I think I need to start showing some more love to the 7" The problem is where ever I see them when out they get no respect just thrown in boxes and shoved in corners that tends to put me off digging through shame really.
Prices sneaking up these days. My usual is 99p or £1.99 for a 7", maybe a bit more if its special. I have that Talk Talk but I don't think it has the foldout, I'll have to check. Looking forward to the Baccara needle drop 👍
@@SteviesVinylCupboard That's actually the main reason I picked up that Baccara single as when I eventually do do a needle drop my other channel it's bound to get a lot of views
Any news on the album.. Songs from the big chair T. F.F
@@thewailingwailers1022 I contacted inquiries at the online Abbey Road Studios site, someone responded saying my copy was legit and then thought he was clever and fobbed me off by sending me a Google search link what any idiot could do which of course showed absolutely nothing
Hi Simon. The Talk Talk single looks great. I love it when bands make an effort with their singles covers. The fan club box has space for the other four singles from the same album. One of which is "is it any wonder" . Nice finds. Cheers Mike
@@mikevinylspiral hi mike, yes I know that Keane fan box is ridiculously big for one single, and yes I've packed all of them in the box to make good use of it, cheers Si
Very strange. You’d expect a big release like that to be all over the internet. There is a big counterfeit industry in Germany with loads of shops being stacked with counterfeit records. They aren’t normally shrink wrapped or have hype stickers though. Usually the counterfeits are on discogs too. That’s really weird.
@@TheVinylVoyage-ud3uf apparently after contacting abbey road online store it has been confirmed as a legit copy, and that was about all that was said, leading me to think there is more to it, I get the feeling like someone has mentioned that It may of been accidentally released as the 40th anniversary is soon approaching next year
Love a good challenge Simon, will have a look when I get home. Sometimes if you type in the search what you are after and just go to ‘images’ you sometimes get a pic of what you are after. However I tried this and a pic of your video came up 🤣
I've messaged Abby Road Studios online store, hopefully they can give me some information on why It seemed to of completely disappeared
I think the copy of Songs is probably slated for release next year & was shipped accidentally. It will be the 40th anniversary in 2025.
@@davidellis5141 that could be possible, maybe I should contact abbey road mastering for more information
@@vinyldaleThere's an article in soundandvision online dated August 23 remaster class tears for fears songs from big chair. See para 5 where a german 2021 pressing is mentioned and it's suggested that it would be nice to have an Abbey Road remaster for the 40th anniversary next year. I think it's unlikely that any copies of this album, even if it is going to be released would exist already to be accidentally shipped. But you never know. It seems that your album probably doesn't officially exist! I really hope you have something very special.
Hi Simon, I love a good mystery. I've been searching all morning and drawn a complete blank. But I do have a couple of suggestions. Have you tried posting a question on a Tears for Fears fansite? And have you tried searching using the matrix number. Best of luck mate.
@@mikevinylspiral Same here Mike, can't find this particular copy anywhere, someone has suggested it may of been released accidentally as the 40th anniversary is next year and possibly pulled? Maybe? Hi Simon!!! when you have a big collection like yours, it's a good idea to do a purge just to have more space in your music room and get rid of cd/vinyl you might have as duplicates or never listen too. cheers and be well
All film & TV soundtracks should be kept for resale in the future. They tend to be very limited releases, therefore valuable. They become hard to find after the 1st year. I know it very well, i' enjoy collecting soundtracks, but some that i really want badly have disappeared from the market completely.
I understand you dont need to take shit from anyone. I know the importance to defend yourself and your country.....Sure some people from the U.S. suck...................Alot of good points with your co host...Call it the music community
This stream was posted a while ago when me and my co host felt things needed to be said, however I didn't expect things to get quite so heated on the panel, I felt they way things went spoilt the message me and my co host was trying to put out there, but at the same time showed how hostile things are, which kinda proved my point
@@vinyldale I understand and know this stream is old....my friend.
Simon, you seem like a good fellow. I am from the U.S. and dont dislike anyone from th U.K. Even invisible Ray, He is smart anf funny and he chooses to put down certain people but i dont dislike him at all. A good friend of mine is Joe Mayo who i cohosts on his livestream...You might know who i am and in the past Mayo was a target....but still i like Invisible Ray because he could be fair with things...........We should all get along, life is too short....thanks for the great stream and take care.
You seem a reasonable guy to talk to and always have left positive comments on my channel and I appreciate that, listen I don't have a problem with Mayo, a lot of the stick he gets from Ray is just bs mostly between them, I don't get the whole obsession with the Beatles in the way of buying every single piece of merchandise but I don't care what he does or have he decides to spend his money, if I remember correctly this stream was pointing fingers towards another stream, however regards Mayo you can tell him from me there's no ill feelings, we're just very different guys over here in the uk, I think he would understand that
I don’t blame you for purging all those comps, there’s an absolute ton there! I bet there’s some repetition of certain tracks across many of those CDs too. I think you’re doing the right thing getting shot of the bulk of those, but any CDs or sets you’re in two minds about, my advice would be to hang on to them, for the time being at least
I've already picked some out which weren't seen in the video some sentimental ones and personal faves but the majority are bagged up, will give a little while yet before I definitely get rid
Oh keep the Nows. They should all be on a shelf in order! They're lovely to pick out at random and just listen to. The random budget ones can go unless any of them have particular sentimental value or a especially good tracklist. Dunno if you now stream or have everything ripped to MP3 but worth pointing out that 90s dance comps are sometimes worth keeping because they have the correct hit versions on, often missing from streaming
Thanks for the advice regards streaming
A purge is always good IMO. You can keep your collection in more order this way & not have so much filler. We all know our collections inside & out as to what’s getting played & what’s not. Good luck 👍🏻
True, I feel the time has come, everything is ripped so I not losing much really, time to let go or at least the majority of them
I don't buy compilations anymore because the resale value is so low so whatever you can get today is better than getting virtually nothing in a few years. C'mon England !!
I agree with you David, the resell value is nonexistent
Wish I was there. I have more compilations than I have regular artist albums. Too many artists are only capable of one or two good songs. Their albums are lacking, some really stink.
I've already ripped all these comps so that makes me feel better
Nice stuff...You might feel sorry later that you let them go.......take care...Remember you never have too much music..
You could be right but I feel I need to make room, thanks for commenting
Nice finds. I picked up that Stars Of Soap CD over 20 years ago from a local Newsagents.
