As a random person on the internet who loves looking up choreography to songs that are stuck in my head - thank you for uploading this!! Truly amazing work. I got the reference to stranger things immediately. I felt similar feelings as when I watched the show in all the best ways, which were subtle enough for me to enjoy the dancing to its fullest. Beautiful dancers, movement was full out enough to enjoy with poor video quality, stellar choreography, smart costume design. I hope you guys won because that was a MASTERPIECE. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

I first saw this piece compete at In10sity in Arizona, recently. I was there watching the kids from the studio that I teach at on a weekly basis and saw this huge rig prop get wheeled onto the stage. It spanned half of the stage and sat in center with a stool holding one part with what looked to be some sort of sandbag or weight and the other side had straps. As these teachers and dancers were setting this huge prop up, they also set up black lights that spanned the entire stage front edge that pointed toward the prop. As this was happening, i crawled down from my back row seats in the theater and tried to find the best seat to watch whatever was about to happen on stage, because i knew it was either going to be epic or a 'what is happening...' moment. Well, the announcers invite the routine onto the stage and when i tell you i gasped at almost every section and put my hands to my face in awe and cried and felt so much... These dancers knew what they were doing. They are such amazing storytellers and beautiful movers. They executed this concept extremely well. At the end of the performance, with a shakey voice and tears in my eyes, i looked to my left to the first person to make eye contact with me and said, "i thought we were at a dance competition... That was breathtaking." This was purely exhibition art and i would pay to see that live, again. Turns out, I was talking with the first girl-in-white's grandmother and the girl's mother was in the row in front of us. Holy smokes. I couldn't stop talking about it to my husband for DAYS. I'm still obsessed.

I watched this during the live stream and have been waiting for someone to upload it. One of the best pieces I've ever seen, chills and all the tears😭😭
