Passed: Novice Moves in the Field - Adult 21+
I passed my Novice Moves (Adult 21+) on the first try! I tested these virtually. This was my second take (the first one wasn’t as strong).

Adult Gold ladies axel
zhlédnutí 113Před 3 lety
I’ve been tweaking this jump for 13 years and it’s finally making some noticeable improvement. This is probably the biggest jump I’ve had to date. I usually clock in around 0.33 seconds and this one is between 0.37-0.40.
Adult pairs leap of death
zhlédnutí 53Před 3 lety
We lovingly call this the leap of death. I have to leap and hope that my partner catches me.
Adult Pairs waltz throws
zhlédnutí 99Před 3 lety
Alternating pairs waltz throws. Because sometimes even a guy wants to be thrown.
Adult pairs - sciatica sit spin
zhlédnutí 74Před 3 lety
Kenneth and I have trademarked a new spin - the side by side sciatica sit spin. Both of us suffer from sciatica so this spin isn’t exaggerating our pain too much. 😄
Adult Gold - 3 axels in a row
zhlédnutí 240Před 7 lety
A teen skater challenged me to execute 3 axels in a row. These are a bit messy but I landed them all.
Adult Gold double salchow attempt 7/13/2016
zhlédnutí 243Před 7 lety
Trying to internally rotate the landing hip to get all the way around
Adult gold double salchow
zhlédnutí 390Před 8 lety
This is a quarter turn under rotated but considered IJS clean. My first double salchow captured on video! December 1, 2015

Nice!
Very cool! I'm (still) working on my Adult Bronze moves....maybe testing sometime this spring.
what is a back scratch spin isn’t that just a back spin?
Congrats Eva! How long did it take you to learn these?
Thanks, Mary! I passed my Intermediate moves in Dec 2020 but didn’t really start working on these moves until about a year ago. We stopped them when I was prepping for Sectionals and Adult Nationals and started focusing on them a lot after Adult Nationals 2022.
@@evitawylie That's wonderful that you knocked them out in just one year or even a bit less!
Congratulations! I was so excited to find a video of an Adult Novice 21+ moves test! And great job holding it together on those back twizzels with everyone at the boards watching you! That’s the part about virtual testing that stresses me out!!
Thank you! Those twizzles are so hard! I was holding my breath on every single one. 😂
Great to see this and thanks for posting! I’m working on Novice as a 50+.
I wrote a comment congratulating you on a forum, but when I hit post it gave me an error that I cannot view that section. So, I’m saying it here: Congratualtions! That stuff looked hard, but you made it look easy. :)
Thank you! I was holding my breath during most of the test so I was pretty winded at the end! Haha!
So beautiful!💞
It is
I somehow managed to do an outside and inside forward 3-turns today (on 2 separate feet) but it's still unstable. Mohawk is still bad tho. it feels so wierd
We just filmed a cannonball video :)
Hey, could you please check out our channel, I think you would like it :) How long have you been skating for?
Yes, it is incredibly disorienting. My coach always tells me that spins are blind. I exit this spin and literally am about to fall over because I get so dizzy! I can't wait to see your cannonball spin!
Great job! My coach had me try this for the first time today. Oh my gosh, it is sooo disorienting! She told me I hit a good position, but I just got down there and lost all body awareness! I had no idea if I was falling over or not!
Thanks, Christina! I hope to keep improving it. :)
Looks like a landed axel! Even if squeaky!
