I had the privilege of having had a master class with Joe Alegado years ago when he was a guest dancer with BRBT in Baton Rouge. He is a great dancer and choreographer, and I shall never forget him. A beautiful and gentle soul he is. Thank you, Mr. Alegado, for the time you made me so at ease when my supporting leg flew out from under me. Yes, I fell...but you explained that I had let go of my inhibitions, as I was "living" the music. I wish I could say it as elegantly as you did on that day as you helped me up. You made me feel important instead of embarrassed. I will never forget the moment as Samuel Barber's music played.
