Thanks mate i appreciate that, and when i ran in VR AMS2 was amazing and the level of immersion was incredible and it's one of the reasons i keep looking at getting another headset !

Not yet mate but will now you have mentioned it ! I cant wait for build v1.6 of AMS2 as i think that will be another big step forward.

So far been very impressed with the rigidity of the whole setup and the Sim Lab 80/40 rig has enough strength and weight to hold the mount steady. As for the VESA mount well it’s just a cheap one from Amazon - TV Wall Mount, Ultra Slim Fixed... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0833PJ269?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share - but it’s not brilliant when it comes to making slight adjustments so I will be replacing it soon.

@@SimRacingJason So do I. In CM goto settings/csp tab/new AI behavior/AI race Cooldown Lap and tick it, don't forget to set the speed (throttle limit) to higher than what you think or it gets a bit boring. Have fun mate

@@meecob again thanks mate and i have found it and just tried it and it just works. I did up the throttle limit as i found the preset is way two low and my first cool down lap was a bit an ordeal ! This is what i love about the sim racing community we are all willing to help each other out.

Family life can be both rewarding and challenging, thankfully it’s more often the former but occasionally it’s the latter especially when it impacts my hobbies 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 But I am happy with my new setup, it’s just a little more restrictive when it comes to content creation but I will find ways to over come this as much as I can.

@@kevin_m thanks mate and you know how it is when needs must, and I was a little gutted at first about the move but after setting everything up again and cracking the twin shifter location I am as happy as can be with my little corner. That SHH shifter has been knocking about my rig setups for years and still performs as it the day I got and all for only 100 euros.

@@RomanFusaty the unreal engine really does seem unsuited to sim racing and you can see the same flaws in each title that uses it and I see that the new title by Ian Bell has moved away from using it because if that very fact. I do hope they can make it less jarring as it does feel rather unoptimized at the moment. I have also held off buying a founders pack until I see something that really grabs me and makes me sit up and pay attention.

@@jamesleegte5753 well made point mate and I always enjoy checking out a new sim racing title or big build as I love sim racing in general and spread myself across many titles. I want to be able to support the teams that create these titles and do buy DLC where possible but just felt the RennSport founders packs just didn’t offer something I wanted, I am waiting on other DLC options coming down the track to possibly throw a pound or two Rennsport’s way.

Yep agree with both comments. Also invested in AMS2, but still waiting for good physics to approach AC. Undecided on Rennsport, have already invested in LMU and ACEvo is about to drop

@@user-ot4mm5nj3z I only sim race in VR, I still purchased LMU day one and I’ll be buying their season pass too. When the season pass releases I will still have zero minutes in game but I believe in the dev team, I love RF2 and want to support them in their new venture especially as WEC is one of my favourite series to watch on tv. Same with AMS2, I really like Reiza I loved AMS and I’m praying V1.6 is the day I love AMS2! Even though I don’t get on with AMS2 I would never slag them off, these guys work their asses off to create and I think its massively disrespectful when people go full on man baby in forums and Facebook groups etc.

@@user-ot4mm5nj3z we have too many sims to choose from 🤣 it’s hard to support them all but I do like to try. As for AMS2 I did feel the cars that got the v1.6 treatment in the last build really upped the feel and I still believe this new build will be the one that unlocks this title. I am going to buy the 2024 DLC for LMU as I do like that sim and I am already onboard the hype train for AC EVO so it’s going to be a busy year for sim racing.

@@MRD0889 glad you gave it a try and that you enjoyed it mate, it is a good title and I found myself racing it all over the weekend as the online side is very robust and easy to get involved with. I am now waiting for some of those issues to be addressed as this title develops to see where it lands in the sim racing scene.

@@Ian-hz6vy I am always interested and excited to see new sim racing titles enter the space and it’s hard because we are in such a small gaming niche and I hope RennSport does find a way to succeed, it’s just that at present it’s got one or two issues that hold it back for me and my sim racing needs.

@@slaphead90 the joys of sim racing on the PC is that we are spoilt for choice and there is a title out there for everyone, RennSport is an odd one at times as there are something’s I really like but it’s then cancelled out by things I don’t. The online side is very good and that’s the part I really enjoyed once I had found a small selection of cars that I enjoyed racing. I am looking forward to how this title progresses and if it can find a space along side the many other established titles.

I think most of us are guilty of this !

I do like to get stuck into a bit of old school shifting now and then and really wanted to find a way to mount it properly and this rebuild allowed for that.

Mate I was going to paint over it but then i remembered how long it took me to put up and get that pattern to match so its here to stay !

Thanks mate i appreciate that and thank you for the work you do bringing new content for us to enjoy into AMS2. I am not that technically minded so cant be of much help apart from the basics ! I am waiting to seeing what happens when AMS2 v1.6 drops and what impact that has on both CM and the mods. I don't want to go without my JGTC cars !

Mate just use the link to the Over Take website in the description and you will find Content manager app which is free to use with the option to donate to the creator if you want to.

Oh thats a tough one mate, but i think rFactor 2 just pips the others in terms of AI, but with enough sim time the adaptive AI in RaceRoom is a very close second. Although its not on the list as its not really on sale due to it being a subscription based sim i have to say the AI in iRacing is very very good and i often fire it up for a bit of AI racing when in the mood for a quick sim racing hit.

Good point, even with a killer system its still a struggle compared with any other title on this list.

That’s a shame about WRC as rallying is breathtaking in VR but you are right about the other titles especially AMS2 when driving as the sun sets it’s awesome.

Thanks for mentioning Forza, I didn’t look out for that sim as I was really just making a list of my top sim racing titles I enjoy that were on sale and Forza isn’t a title I have tried yet. But now you mention it’s a got a good discount it might be time to put that right.

@@meecob I know what you mean but if you buy it in a round about fashion by getting VRP then buying content its a lot more reasonable. But with 50% off a lot of DLC at the moment you can grab a bargain or two mate.

Ok two things might be worth a try. First off make sure you have the latest version of OtterHud installed and then make sure that you have either ticked the box for R3E hud within Crew Chief app if you are using that or that you have correctly added the start command for Race Room within the game properties within the Steam launch options. All the links and information you need to check these should be in the video description mate.

I do have the skins just not got round to installing them before I made this video, but you are right it does add to the immersion to have the right liveries on the cars. I just can’t get enough of this brilliant mod and it lets me relive the classic tin top years when ever the urge takes me.

I run a server just added the mod to it and just trying to convince my friends to maybe have a league in place and use the exact tracks as back in the day I know a bit anal but hey 😂

I double checked via the Crome browser and did not encounter an issues. Might be worth refreshing the page, clearing out cookies or try another browser to see if that helps mate.

I am not sure as I have never tried to do this, but you might find a SimHub overlay that might help you find a solution rather than using OtherHud.

I have been back into RaceRoom just lately and really enjoying pushing the 92 DTM cars around the Nords and the way they behave with the new tire model is so rewarding when on the limit. The AI has seriously improved as well since the beginning of 2024 and I have had some good races using the adaptive AI setting.

@@SimRacingJason yeah exactly! Shame that RaceRoom is not on LFM it would be amazing really...

@atechcheck there was talk about LFM integration but I don’t think there was enough initial interest to push on with the idea, which is a real shame.

@@SimRacingJason Considering it is a free game with some free content they could add it and keep one server with free content and 2nd with GT3 running for a season and see since this way it is literarily free SIM Game that is great... I wrote on their DC so hope someone will listen. Besides anyone can run this game atm due to it beind really not that demanding :D

It’s all in the editing. When racing I only have one view available which is the cockpit and then I record a replay of the race afterwards using external cameras and then use that along with the race footage to create these video with multiple angles via my editing software.
