Maybe Profiling Isn't Always a Bad Thing... In Db2 that is Presented By Adrian Burke
Not all distributed workloads are well-behaved, predictable, uniform in execution, or should be treated equally. Most Db2 technicians are not able to calculate the total possible number of connections or even threads that could inundate their subsystem at any moment. In this API economy and ever-increasing Mobile workloads there are certain proactive measures which can be put in place to protect the security and availability of you Db2 for z/OS landscape.

I am facing a problem with temporary table, I searched it on Google and I found to your video. I'm new in DB2 so this is so useful for me. Thanks you Brian. But I have a concern that whether there's any difference of working between temporary table in a script and in a stored procedure? My problem is that I declared a temp table and inserted data into it (inserted successfully with 1 row - shown in message after execution) inside a script but there is no row when I selected it out after INSERT statement, this results to another issue that I cannot join this temp table with another table (cause no data to join). With the same code, I brought it into a stored procedure, it works, the temp table has data and it can be used for joining. Do you know why? Could you please give me advice, I will really appreciate about that. Thanks again!

A couple of questions about the Data Server Client. Dose it require ROOT to configure? Do you have to create an "instance" first? I couldn't even source the db2profile since it is read-only. Why does't the "db2" command work - /db2 SQL10007N Message "-1390" could not be retrieved. Reason code: "3".
