Surf Mystic NSW - Australia Winter Jun/2022
Magic "Mystic"
What a day to remember with really good waves on a magic winter Sunday. Swell was pumping from south and by Sunday afternoon forecast was saying that would improve with great wind window. Exactly what happened, swell got bigger and bigger and some large sets started to show up. Me and Fernando, surfed in the morning would say more than half of the size smaller but really good conditions, and then afternoon session was perfect!!

Amazing south swell hit the east coast for a few days. Could say the swell got some extra power from south on Sunday 12.06 and sick waves came through during Sunday arvo and Monday all day long. Off shore to make the scenario something unique!!! Bodyboarders and board surfers were sharing the lineup and making the most of it. Hope you like!!! Cheers

Historic day at Dead Mans a sick point break around Manly area. Swell turned south east as forecast said and conditions became really wild and huge. During the morning 18-20 foot wave came through and the atmosphere was unbelievable the whole day! People started showing up and everyone was killing out there putting down on those amazing waves!! What a nice Sunday it was. In really hard times we still can find some peace and beautiful Mother Nature life under water! Lockdown is on, but you still can go do your exercises and get back home, well that's what I did. No words to describe this place. Honestly one of the best skate Park I have ever been. Three big bowls connected to each other making really smooth transitions making the ride nice and clean! The park around has everything you need to spend a nice day around with Bathrooms, soccer and rugby fields to play and have fun! Plan your trip and go, don't forget your safety accessories!! Cheers

This was the first Big Swell of 2021 at Dee Why. I heard during the morning it was pumping with clean condition and good barrels and I was able to get there only in the afternoon and captured the arvo with nice moments!!!

Love mystics. U can be sitting 20m from each other on different A frame peaks and get quality. Very short paddle out also 👌

There was a time the only way to surf Misty's, ( yes that's right), was to paddle across Minnamurra river or walk in through the back of Dunmore shit tip.. Mystics?

Was Mystics when I lived in gerringong 30 years ago.
Mystics is nice but it is still fickle compared to the more consistent places like Straddie, even Berubi point is more reliable and consistent. for Mystics you need everything right for a session full of quality.

I wouldn't ride any board under 7 feet. That speed ball of soup coming out of the tube is faster than most of those boards. Dudes are doing it but there not smart about what to ride. That's my take. You wouldn t catch me out there like that especially if it were my first time there. Chances are I would get smoked. Hats off to anyone that takes off

This video captures South Coast winter surfing. Not perfect but a lot of fun if you catch the tide etc. and the lead in with the morning coffee was just right - no 10 minute raves.

That’s as good as Cowrie Hole gets - it can hold bigger. Last time I surfed there was 50 years ago when it was mainly a knee boarders’ break.

The Tide makes such a big difference on the take off. Sometimes it jacks and other times you can get down the face before it bowls.
