I've watched several videos on the heavy duty pivot shear and have seen it cut both straight and angled cuts but never in the same video with the same set of blades. Do the angled cuts require separate sets of blades for specific ranges of angles? Or how much of an angle can be cut with the straight cut set of knives?

But once its set up you can do 5 cuts at a time. Its the most efficient way to cut panels, especially on angles. Plus you will never get the same quality cut with a metal saw.

The company I work for has one and we never use it..... it's a great idea ..... but...... it just doesn't work well. Also 90% of standing seam/ snap lock jobs are inspection jobs and these machines don't allow the female rib to rap around the male at the bottom closing the gap between the 2 panels.

@Aztec Warrior his question was how do you adjust for different angles. You can't do that without changing the blades. So no your not right you don't just move it to that angle. If you get a flat tire you don't just keep going on it and that fixes it. You change the fucking tire to fix the issue.

I like the idea, but if your going to be paying that much for the shear. I dont want any extra cutting or snipping, Or have to adjust the blocks to fit a valley angel when hemming. Your not cutting time on the job. Your just adding another step. I would totally buy your shear if you do not have to make any adjustments or make added cuts to the panels. It’s a great idea but help us cut out the labor even more so any of my guys can step up and do it without having to think.
