*LOST MEDIA* Treasure Planet B.E.N. Prototype Proof Of Concept Video
This is some real treasure here.
Last night, I stayed up searching for lost media on multiple Disney Animators accounts/profiles and I came across Eric Vignola’s vimeo profile (Eric was a Character Technical Director at Walt Disney Animation Studios.) and found this 54 second Proof-Of-Concept Prototype Verison of B.E.N. from Treasure Planet. This is the really first verison of B.E.N. before his final designs. B.E.N. used to be a silver robot before his final design used to be gold, and his head used to be this disc-bowl shape before it was changed from a flat cylinder. I did some research of his early designs and I found some early concept art of the same design shown in this video, they can be found at Van Eaton Galleries. Although the concept art has been sold. I have no idea what the date of this test was taken, maybe in the late 90s and early 00’s. This is a very rare interesting piece of lost media. I hope you guys really enjoyed this, Thank You!

This was a CG test for Disney's treasure planet. The movie was to be traditionally animated with some cell shaded 3D characters. This sequence was a proof of concept using an early design of the character. We used audio from the movie "What about Bob" and had some fun with it.

This is a recently discovered TV Pilot for Chicken Little supposed to be aired around 2006. Show was cancelled after the film following the series Chicken Little flopped at box office in 2005. Disney was then saved by the theatrical release of Meet The Robinsons 2 years later in 2007. I've collected a few rare clips from the Unaired Proud Family pilot originally pitched to nickeloden in 1998 but got passed, similar to the recently found Boondocks Pilot from 2004. It then got picked up by Disney Channel then debuted in 2001. The Proud Family belongs to Disney. Instrumental theme is by Destiny's Child and Disney.

This probably would have released within the next year while A Day with Wilbur Robinson or Meet The Robinsons as renamed, was scheduled for a 2006 release while still in production at Disney Animation, but Chicken Little is one of the main factors as why Disney was doing CGI without Pixar’s guidance, while the film and A Day with Wilbur Robinson, alongside Rapunzel Unbraided, Toy Story 3 from Circle 7, and American Dog that would primarily focus on that same animation style, were in production. Chicken Little and A Day with Wilbur Robinson were given a standard production cycle, basically a 2 year production cycle, but Chicken Little’s production begin in November of 2003 while the other half, A Day with Wilbur Robinson, begun production in June of 2004, and while the latter titles, American Dog, was still in development, but was slated for either a summer 2007 or 2008 release while Rapunzel Unbraided was slated for a 2007, but pushed up to a 2009 release while Toy Story 3 from Circle 7, set for a spring 2008 release.

Might be crazy for saying this, but those initial few clips at the start for this TV SHOW, had much better and more fluid animation, than the $150 million FEATURE FILM released the year prior.
