Harika ! Üstad bu arada İngilizcen de harikaymış ! :D
Sagol, anadilim sayilir=)
Love your videos, and love that you're making more of them these days!
Thank you:)
Hey Murat awesome Oud right so I’ve got a question I’ve never played stringed instruments before but I’m hooked on the Oud right now and that’s the only thing on my mind when it comes to stringed instruments. The Oud I’m getting is a Turkish one what tips would you give to complete noobs like me who plan on learning the Oud also I’m in contact with a Turkish Oud teacher yeah I guess that’s my 😶 thanks 🙏🏿 PS that Oud seems expensive or it might be a vintage Turkish Oud from the sound of it so it must be expensive right the price must’ve been insane 😅 sorry
You might wanna check " Bağlama" too ! That's more "Turkish" then the Oud.
@@NerdGlassGamingPA yes but I wanna play the Oud first then baglama like I defo wanna play the baglama some day it’s on one of my lists of instruments learning the Oud will help me grasp uh knowledge on maqams which will be useful for learning the baglama

Mine is good, wasn't really expensive though. I don't remember the exact price but pretty sure it was under 1k. Maybe order from Sela Muzik in Turkey? They're reliable. You can get something pretty good for less than 1k, just don't go below 3-400. And let me know if the other teacher doesn't work out=)
Another great lesson Murat! The Greek song is: Στρατοσ Διονυσιου Ο Μεμετης
Thank you:)
Is this standard tuning?
Yes
Beautiful. This is going to be the first piece I try and learn after nearly 35 years on not playing the guitar. Thankyou for inspiring me. I'm going to get very sore fingers. It made me cry a bit. I have autism and played for years then list my guitar in a fire 🔥. I bought another one but it was never the same after soni stopped playing. I played Spanish and classical but love tutkish and Arabic music. I've been wanting to play agsin this last year and going to get a new guitar in the next week or two
Thank you good luck with it=). Let me know if you need any help.
@@MuratKMusicthankyou. I feel like I've forgotten everything. I probably haven't. Im sure once I start playing again it'll all come back
Great video. Thank you. I played Spanish guitar for years snd stopped playing 35 years ago. I'm 61. I'm about to get a guitar again and wanted to start playing Arabic scale. I landed on this video and the first thing I thought was its so similar to Spanish. I've literally forgotten everything but I did play for 8 years do hopefully I'll pick it back up.
Awesome!! "Mehmeti-Mou" ..famous .Greek song from Anatolia...Harika!!
Thank you=)
BIG THUIMBS UP! That's all I have is thumbs... but I love these sounds and you just filled in.a big gap in my knowledge...thanks!
You're welcome you're welcome=)
thanks a lot, i really love your lessons! this is exact the sound that i love, but i don't have the musical background (yet). i love it!
thank you=) I'm planning a whole series of these ones..
If you change root note to G or A, what is the formula to determine compatible chords?
Do you have general knowledge of how to transpose things? I mean if you know the chords in E and want to move to A, just move them all up a fourth...
Top👌
I love these scales. Thanks so much. Ever since watching daffy duck in Baghdad, this eastern music has really gripped me. So many different emotions in just one or two notes... But... You can bend to reach the microtones? Sure, it takes a lot of practice, but hey, what's music all about...
you're welcome=)
к сожалению, очень тихо...
Sorry all the sound on this video is on one side. Maybe one of your speakers was off?
Beautiful!
Thank you thank you=)
Thank you for this … 🌱
Why no audio? I can't hear anything.
Dunno maybe your sounds off=)
But maybe there was a problem with one of the mic when I was shooting this, so most of the sound is on the right. Maybe your right speaker is off?
@@MuratKMusic I tried using different account, same no sound. So I reload, than what happened? It started with advertisement - full sound - than when the video started, nothing. I thing maybe because I stole so many musics of YT, 😄
@@MuratKMusic I clicked on your other videos and the sound are fine, so that one has problem..
@@BigRode1008 Really no idea. When I watch it the sound is fine. Did you try on a different device or sound system? Again my guess is that one of your speakers is off or there's a setting where one of the sides is muted. The sound in this video seems to be really right heavy but it's totally watchable on my end.
This instrument is incredible
Well done Murat!
Thank you for this very clear lesson! I am practicing it!
You’re welcome:)
Tebrikler! Çok duygusal bir beste.
Sagol=)
Thank you for showcasing Armenian music 👍🇦🇲
Always grateful for lessons in the turkish tuning! Seems hard to find that online since most people play in Arabic tuning.
Great piece of knowledge! Thanks man👍🏻
Very nice lesson, thanks for sharing. Most of the songs on the Ali/Toumani albums are in standard tuning and nice to play along to since the playing isn't quite as complex as Ali's solo albums. Still requires an attentive ear because the rythmic aspect is quite different from western music. It's nice to see others having a go at these tunes.
You're welcome=)
And is there alternate tuning that the low E is tuned up to a G if I’m remembering correctly?
@@MuratKMusic That's right and I believe he also tuned his guitar down at least half a step (to compensate maybe for the high tension on the G). On a nylon string guitar, I tune instead to DGDGBE so the 5th string takes over as the main bass drone and it's easier on the strings. This allows one to play Ali's songs without much difference on the fingerings except switching 6th string to 5th.

Such a great tutorial! Starting to dive in my guitar journey and happy to have find out your channel, I deeply appreciate your simple way of explaining things🙏 Thanks!
Thank you, more to come soon:)
@MuratKMusic ho, also I have a little question.. maybe it's obvious for many but.. Wich type of strings are you using? I'm very interested into eastern music as well and your style of playing is really inspiring, so thanks in advance for your answer🙏✨️
@@IgnitedFlamesArt Well this video is with a classical so nylon. I do play a lot of both classical and acoustic though. And I have an electric that I barely ever pull out=)
You are amazing sir. Thanks alot for the lesson <3
Thank you:)
Thank you so much for simplifying this master piece of playing style. You are amazing!
Thank you=)
I'm thrilled with the trills ~~~♡☆
Cheers! I kind of half knew what I was doing, this helps!
Very lovely alternatives to harmonizing this guitar classic. Something here for guitarists at all levels. Much appreciated!
Thank you:)
The capo on the fifth fret will let you play , kala djula / sabu yerkoy / mamadou boutique almost the whole album , I learn it all but the guitar is not helping hahh, Perfect
Thanks for the in-depth explanation

Great lesson, fantastic song by the King Ali Farka Toure. The groove that can be achieved with this song is something else! Thanks for sharing.
Great to see no nonsense lesson 👍
thank you=)
great sound
thanks=)
Virement ce que vous faites c'est pas hasard. Je suis guitariste je joue bien les accords africaine mais tu es superbe
Thank you for the kind words=)
Hi, I am a left-handed player as well. Can you suggest where I can find left-handed Ouds? Also what is the Oud model you are using? Thanks!
you don't need a left handed oud. It's just like guitar-just re-string it.

For Hindustani Raag equivalence try raag Malhaar, Raag Mian ki Malhaar and Raag Nata
Lovely music oh my goodness i just discovered you. Any way can you make the tabs for all the songs? or maybe a walkthrough?
Hmm sorry I don't have tabs but there are several videos of me playing them on my channel that you could slow down? Also I do offer lessons online you can write to me at muratkeyder@gmail.com if interested.
@@MuratKMusic sounds good. I would also suggest you make them as sheet music and guitar pro (gpx) files that you can sell them too. Many artists do that, it can be very profitable for you
Sublime
Thank you=)
