thank you sensei 👍 Toruko jin desu 🇹🇷🇯🇵
Así que no te preocupes en lo absoluto 😊 In that case, though, these lessons are probably quite basic for you if you’re already at N3 level! They might be nice for some simple revision, but as time goes on, the content will become more advanced on the channel. In any case, good luck with your studies and keep on chugging! Japanese is a constant learning adventure, even for me 😂✨
@@JapaneseWithJade there's tons of basic things i dont know. some basic kanji and tons of other grammar things. like juu being jyuu when speaking about your age. so dont worry jade even though you think its not helping slightly higher level learners. it is.

boku ha yonjyuuyon sai desu interesting how 10 which is juu changes to jyuu. also 1 and 8 are the abnormal numbers issai and hassai.

Thats insane! Do you know japanese or atleast a little bit? I would feel so hopeless haha
I do now, thankfully, but it took me a WHILE to pick it up, like, a couple of years 😂
And how are you uploading this vid without a mobile phone?
Because this was during my first six months in Japan. I got there in 2015 😂

it's called a voice crack lmao
They use tone to convey meaning in what they’re saying.
this is definitely n5 level... i consider myself between n3/n4 around there...
Yes, it is! This is the beginner course using the Genki 1 textbook. Congratulations reaching N4/N3! 🎉👏
No "TAN TA DA TAN TAN TAN TAN TAN A JADE ABROAAAAAD" in the beginning? Bummer! It's like Canada without the Niagara Falls or France without the Eiffel Tower or Australia without the Sydney Harbour Bridge or Egypt without the Pyramids or Japan without the Rising Sun or Thailand without the....(well, you know!).🤔😓 (Now that I have said TAN TA DA TAN TAN TAN TAN TAN A JADE ABROAAAAAD, it's going to keep ringing in my ears like a mantra for God knows how many hours or days).
Hahaha! That's because it's the theme tune to my A Jade Abroad channel (which is still running, you'll be happy to know. I just need to make time to edit more videos for it, but I've bitten off more than I can chew with four different channels now 😂). Happy to hear you've now cursed yourself into listening to my A Jade Abroad tune, though! Happy humming! 😂
@@JapaneseWithJade It's always a pleasure to hear from you. And the curse you were talking about? I am already under its spell, TBH. BTW, I spent 35 wonderful days in Japan (in December 2023 and January 2024) and travelled many roads less travelled in the past (for example, the amazing Snow Monkey Resort in Nagano, beautiful and serene Niigata and exciting Sapporo). I had asked you a couple of times in your A Jade Abroad channel if we could meet for a cup of coffee @ Starbucks in Tsutaya building in Shibuya but you ignored by requests (not blaming you. I completely understand considering that weird "stalking" trend in Japan). I will be in Tokyo again in Dcember 2023. ☺
Omg, amazing! I’m so happy to hear you had a fantastic time!! I have definitely received some interesting emails from people - some asking for me to send them tights and stuff(?!) - so apologies for not getting back to you! I am never quite sure who is on the sending end of emails 😅 In any case, I wasn’t actually in Japan during that time as I hit up my homeland for Christmas etc, so don’t feel too much regret 😂
@@JapaneseWithJade Jade San. Ohaiyo Gozaimasu. I need your permission (no, approval) for something I have already done. I have downloaded one of your videos from the "A Jade Abroad" channel, edited it so just the TAN TA DA TAN TAN TAN TAN TAN A JADE ABROAAAAAD part remained in the new MP4 video file, converted the new, edited MP4 file to MP3 audio file (this entire exercise took me less than 2 minutes in Real Player), created a brand new MP3 file with your signature tune repeating a 100 times (so the new mp3 audio file has only the signature tune playing over and over again), then I transferred this file to a memory card which I put in the slot in my car to listen to this amazing new file I created when I drive the car. If you don't approve this copyright infringement, I will delete the mp3 file right away (honest). And I know and I realize I am coming across as a creep and it has dramatically reduced my .01% chance of meeting with you and Saya San in Starbucks @ Shibuya crossing but I had to come clean and tell you the entire story. After all, it's your intellectual property. I am hoping you don't mind what I did and approve it. Please please! 🙏
You could have just asked for the original and I wouldn’t have minded sending it to you! 😂
i learned how to say 1st/2nd/3rd/4th year student. i had known before but forgot. ni nen sei...san nen sei...etc... everything else i knew.
Great job!! Glad this video could help you revise it all again then 😊

We are learning, learning, learning! Domo arrigaato, Sensei!
Thank you for your high energy!!
Every Indian knows this Japanese word.
Only a little confused. Great fun though!
Haha! Well I’m glad you think so!
Omae No Mono Wa Ore No Mono, Ore No Mono Wa Ore No Mono.
😂😂😂
@@JapaneseWithJade Do you know where it comes from? (after living in japan :O )
No, actually! This was the first time I’d ever heard it! I just thought it was funny 😂 Do you know its origins?
@@JapaneseWithJade Yeah, its from the very famous anime. Gouda Takeshi (AKA Jaian/Gian/Giant) - Doraemon o,O
I think of the "no" particle as generatly meaning possesion - one thing belonging to another. Like an apostrophe in English. Not sure if there are other uses of it though.....?
Japanese girls are so cute.😍💜
Why has no one ever taught me this before?? 🤦♂️ Jade to the rescue again 😂😄
Always happy to help! 😂
Thanks for another great video, though now I'm questioning if this your clone again 😆 I did recently learn that 'の' means "my" so sentences like "ぼくのなまいはXです" (my name is X) makes sense to me, but now I'm slightly confused about "私はXです". I'm guessing the literal translation would be "I am X"? Which is acceptable although a slightly odd way of addressing yourself (at least in English). Or am I missing something?
Nope, that’s exactly right! And I think it’s normal in English to say “Hey, I’m Jade”, isn’t it?
@@JapaneseWithJade when you put it like that it does seem normal after all 😂 it's weird how abbreviations can make a difference to how something sounds 😄
For real, for real 😂👌
Yes, I have learned "wa" should be taken in English to mean, "as for" or "speaking of". "Desu", I have been told, means "is", "am", or "are". But I now think "desu" has no meaning and as you say is simply added to increase the politeness level. But I could be wrong, I'm only a beginner! Iie, pen janai desu.
“Speaking of” is another good way to think of は too! Nice! ペンじゃないか… 😂
I didn't know you were an English teacher, doctor, actor, and a model 😮 you're so talented Jade!
😂😂
保険コールセンタースタッフ?
You read my mind sensei Jade 😄 Both Duolingo and Busuu translate kaishain as "company employee", so it interchangeable with "office worker" or is it generally only used for people who work in the office?
The literal translation of kaishain is company employee. Genki translated it as “office worker”, but the typical image of a company employee in Japan IS someone who works in an office 😂 So, take that information as you will! There is another word for office worker, which is just オフィスワーカー (ofisu waakaa) - “office worker” pronounced with a Japanese accent, basically 😂 A woman might also say “office lady” and a guy would probably say “salaryman” to describe their jobs. Japanglish is everywhere 🌈
@@JapaneseWithJade Thank you for the clarification ☺️ And gotta love Engrish/Japanglish, it's one of the things I'm looking forward to when I go 😂
Sensei, please upload a video on japanese col locations.
You can also call fathers Greg? That's definitely the most easiest Japanese yet 😂
😂😂😂
Hello Jade, in order to start learning japanese letter, what is the 1st type of characters to learn? caractères : les hiragana et les katakana, et les kanjis? What is the most convenient use ?
Good questions! They are all, unfortunately, very necessary to learn. But, I would say start with hiragana. Then katakana, and then start with the set of kanji needed to pass the JLPT N5 exam. I teach hiragana and katakana on my channel (maybe I’ll branch out into kanji too one day) and there are lots of online resources to help you find and learn the JLPT exam kanji 😊 I hope that helps!
