We lost our baby pug Bear a month shy of 15 back in January. I knew while I was holding him that he went peacefully but I drove to the vet like a madwoman praying something could be done. I played this and sang to him. I know he is waiting for me and my son at the bridge…. Missing him is just so hard😢

Mine crossed the rainbow bridge at the age of 13.6 years. He was a gem and the best companion one could ask for! He passed away on November 19, 2022 at 8:45 am. Can’t explain the wave of grief that hit me.

@Pugsmash2.0 bro pugs are notoriously riddled by breathing issues, arthritis, spinal problems and even eyes popping from the sockets. They are purposefully bred in order to fulfill the demand for "cuteness" manifested in short snouts, barely existing tails, protruding eyes, wheezing, reverse sneezes, and commitment issues ("look, my little puggo loves me"). This to me is somewhat like a mother crippling their child so that the child is dependent on her. The purposeful, market driven breeding of genetically impaired dogs who suffer their whole lives is absolutely unacceptable.
