A little taster of what you can expect if you go to see a performance of the traditional female dances at the Kerala Kathakali Centre in Kochi, Kerala, India. This was by far my favourite experience of my India trip. These dancers are so elegant, so classy, so skilled, so talented, so beautiful. I could go on... If you find yourself in the state of Kerala, do yourself a favour and go and check ...

A little taster of what you can expect if you go to see a performance at the Kerala Kathakali Centre in Kochi, Kerala, India. This was honestly my favourite experience of my India trip, well, this and also seeing the female performers the following night at the same place giving a demonstration of three types of Kerala classical dance. All of the performers are brilliant and really give everyth...

Man, it was hot. And the dust was getting in the back of the throat. Still, if I could go back in time and do it differently, I wouldn't.

What if Tommy Chong had done the voices.. I don't own the copyright to this great piece of footage. It is intended solely for educational purposes. It comes from a full-length interview on one of the best pages on CZcams called First We Feast. I highly recommend giving them a subscribe: czcams.com/channels/PD_bxCRGpmmeQcbe2kpPaA.html

I watched this with my Punjabi parents who both immigrated to England in their early 20s. This made me so tearful. A fantastic history lesson too.
Lovely episode. She has such a kind family both in England and in India. I enjoyed every step of the way
Good - but the subtitles were hilarious. Mira is sometimes rendered as 'mirror', Khatri as 'cat tree', aarti as RV, and Haridwar as hot water and Harrogate!
Very informative. ......Thank you for sharing! Interesting episode.....learned a lot.

should have taken a premium ride chose wrong one mate
The ugly and brutal British behavior then guaranteed that India would indeed become independent, and to hell with the British Raj. Shooting upon unarmed worshipers who have come to their shrine, for whatever reason, either to meet or to pray, is unconscionable. This personal journey into the past of her family shows how we are all one, and that the spirit triumphs over all adversities and cruelties of man against man. Her parents are so sweet and her father makes some funny comments. They are such humane and wonderful people to have for her parents.
I wish Sanjeev was with her
Hot ones interview loved it tommys a beast on the wings
I love that she brought presents for everyone when she visited her family, there is so much joy in giving!

No for real you've came a long way From sleeping rough and that. But you didnt give up and now your on the radio about your book it's inspiring?
Ah cheers mate. I got very lucky along the way. But yea, if you have a goal and you keep believing in it and working for it, and you get a lot of luck as well, then you pull yourself off of the wrong path in life. It's mostly luck.
This is amazing!!!
You being sarcastic?
Please write another book!
I'm working on it, sir. Procrastination means it'll take a while, though.
looool
Kris, I love what you've done. It was brave and controversial, which is why so many people are scared of it. Scared people often turn to hate. But who am I to talk? I am just a white European anyway.
+Jochem van Rijsingen Thanks, mate. I'm just a white European too. no I'm not! I'm an Arab!
And I'm an Icelandic fairy tale alien with six eyebrows!
People play down the folks in the states with the views you read out as no big deal, but the sad thing is, there are so god damned many of them! This isn't a fringe element. Just read about your journey. Sounds grim in all honesty, but to put yourself through that for charity shows how much of a better person than me you are. Kudos!
+O Patrao Saleh Yea, mate, there does seem to be a large amount of them. Luckily there is a counter-balance, I've met or come across many Americans that do seem to be a bit clued up. But they're pushed to the fringes by the Fox News masses, unfortunately. I feel for them more than anyone, cos they have to live with these idiots. I'm definitely not a better person than the average man, mate. Nor worse, let it be said. haha. Was just inspired to do something, didn't really think about it properly, and then once I'd started it it was too late to back out! that's about the jist of it. But still, if you wanna play a little part in the goodness, you could always pick up a copy of the book. 10 per cent of all royalties to Cancer Research. Plus hopefully it's not a bad read, to boot. ;) Or failing that, just give the FB page a like and spread the word a bit, in case you've got any travel-reading mates. That'd be appreciated. facebook.com/gatecrashingeurope Thanks for commenting, mate. Peace.
