As a little kid, I would always sit down and watch this movie with my family. That was before my dad left and mother passed. This song makes me think of back then. Sure, life wasn't good... Sure, we couldn't afford food or a home... But we were together. We weren't alone. This song means so much to me.

In hinsight the movie was pretty weak. As always just being about legendary Pokémon duking it out until the heroes find a way to quell their anger. .............but man if this scene and this song isn't the most beautiful thing in the world which brings me to absolute tears every time I hear it.

Gen 4 holds a special place in my heart. Not only was Pokemon Platinum my favorite game, but the Rise of Darkrai is one of my favorite Pokemon movies. You can't help but feel like your loved ones are singing you the Ocarinan song and joining in with the tune. It never stops to make me cry each time I listen to it.

This is such a beautiful piece in general, not just anime. 😢 I remember hearing this for the first time and I used to cry because it reminded me of the happy times I had with members of my family who aren’t with us anymore. My dad took himself when I was 8 years old.
