Cover songs performed by Eddie Current
Pink Floyd’s "Time" + "Breathe" Recreated
Cover of two songs from the classic 1973 album Dark Side of the Moon. Featuring Stove Clock, organ and percussion solo. Stove traveled the world sourcing cookware that produced the exact same pitch, timbre, and resonance of the pots and pans that Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason originally used on Dark Side, according to something I read online.

The completion of my Animals trilogy. Next up, new remixes and HD renders of “Pigs (Three Different Ones)” and “Sheep,” and of course, a recreation of “Pigs on the Wing.” My next upload will be the complete Animals album, recreated from start to finish. Please subscribe! Recording notes: In 1998, Stove Clock and I did an audio-only recreation of “Dogs” on my Tascam 38 half-inch 8-track tape mac...

Eddie Current IS Tracy Chapman in Tracymania! (1989)
zhlédnutí 1,1KPřed 6 lety
Extremely old and weird! In college, I was heavily into Tracy Chapman's debut album. When I saw her play a giant festival concert, her between-song banter was almost comically humble and shy. So I thought I'd record a concept EP where I'm a Tracy Chapman impersonator performing at a cavernous venue typically used for monster-truck rallies. Unfortunately, no one shows up. Before the performance,...
Jeff Beck's "AIR Blower" recreated
zhlédnutí 3,8KPřed 7 lety
Jeff Beck's Blow By Blow album was what made me determined to become a serious musician. I loved this tune and always wanted to play it in bands, but no one ever wanted to do it. So finally, I decided to do it myself. The instruments are pretty much the same as in all my videos. The lead guitar signal was split; one half went to the Boss Octave pedal and into the Line 6 POD, and the other half ...
"Say It Aint So" Weezer cover
zhlédnutí 3KPřed 9 lety
The goal for this video cover was to do only four performances, each one straight through, with no corrections and no overdubs only volume changes and ordinary effects. And that's what I did. The gear info is pretty much the same as on my other covers.
"Drive" Incubus cover

I enjoy singing this song, so I threw together a cover in a couple of days. Most of the guitar part is looped because I suck at guitar.
"The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway" Tribute
zhlédnutí 6KPřed 10 lety
Some very talented friends of mine and I got together to play this prog-rock classic (Genesis, 1974) at a birthday party for the guitar player, Emil. It went so well, I was determined to get us into my studio to shoot a video. We finally found three hours one afternoon to get it done putting up as many cameras as we could get our hands on. This was my first attempt to record a live band and sho...
"Everlong" cover
zhlédnutí 2,8KPřed 10 lety
My bandmate Patrick sent me a partial cover he'd done of Foo Fighters' "Everlong" and challenged me to put bass and vocals on it. The bass/backing vocal is first take; the lead vocal is the 2nd of two takes.
"Clouds" cover (David Gates)
zhlédnutí 11KPřed 11 lety
David Gates of the band Bread had several solo hits in the '70s; this was a minor hit in 1973. Originally I wanted to do an arrangement with fretless bass, but it didn't quite work out (cough). So here's just the other part, which is kind of bare. This is my first CZcams attempt at playing piano, so cut me some slack!
"Red Rain" cover (Peter Gabriel)
zhlédnutí 11KPřed 11 lety
I love this Peter Gabriel song, from his 1986 album "So," with the great Tony Levin on bass. From the keyboard- and rhythm-heavy original, it took me a while to come up with a straightahead rock guitar arrangement that I liked, and the groove (on all of the instruments) was surprisingly elusive. I had to record several cycles of scratch tracks before it started sounding half decent. I didn't ev...
"Because" Beatles cover
zhlédnutí 22KPřed 11 lety
This John Lennon song from 1969's "Abbey Road" is one of the most beautiful creations in rock history. I wanted to see what I could do with a stripped-down and slowed-down arrangement, and a rubato (flexible time) feel. Sorry for the crappy $100 guitar and dubious fingerpicking. I'm a bass player, dammit!
"Pigs (Three Different Ones)" Recreated
zhlédnutí 211KPřed 11 lety
My project this summer was a faithful recreation of this song from Pink Floyd's awesome 1977 album "Animals." Years ago I similarly re-recorded "Dogs" (on 8-track tape!) - this time I wanted to do a full video treatment. Stove Clock plays keyboards. Gear: Atlansia Stealth bass, recorded direct Ibanez Roadstar II guitar (effects: Line 6 POD, AmpliTube, Electro-Harmonix Small Stone phaser) "Talk ...
"Hey You" acoustic cover (Pink Floyd)
zhlédnutí 32KPřed 11 lety
From Floyd's 1979 album The Wall. I couldn't resist doing my best Roger Waters impression, complete with the echo at the end. I notice that my videos are getting fewer and fewer views...is CZcams dying, or do I just suck? Anyway, it doesn't matter as long as a few people like what I do hey, that's how it's always been!

If only you made music. You could produce it yourself! Great quality sound
Beat cover I’ve seen! You got every detail. I even liked the way you sang, you captured a little of that Whiny Roger Voice I Love it!
Muito bom!!!! Parabéns!!! 👏👏👏👏👏
THAT TOTALLY BLEW MY MIND
I would rather hear the high school kids cover it.
Spectacularly well done! I was looking for a tutorial on how to accomplish the talk box part of this song and your recreation is absolutely spot on! 👏👏👏
Wow!! This is amazing!
You are the best! All days I come here to listen your song. Thank you for it.

Best Floyd album. Not usually a fan of covers but you kick ass man and of course your friend on piano does also.
Amazing
epic
I'm obsessed with this song. Nice job! Must have taken some time.
Perfeito!
Muito bom! Parabéns! Congrats! Perfeita produção!
Really puts into perspective about Rick Wright not contributing to the album. Barely saw your pianist for long. Wright has his moments in animals but really shined on WYWH and DSOTM. Great cover btw tho! Solid
hello, sheep? one of rick's finest work
Deserves LOUD volume !
I’m without words. Well done!
Your dedication to this masterpiece, is remarkable. Sheep is very sophisticate to play.👏
Just shows you how much effort went into making this masterpiece. Very well done on recapturing the magic in your own unique way.
Excellento 😎
Where did you go Eddie? Just found your channel bro. Need MOAR.
Just searching on youtube to learn this song on guitar and came across this amazing video. This is actually so cool and accurately played
That's a really clever way of making your own talkbox. Gross. But clever!
Larreta
Excellent. Everything, especially the vocals and siren guitar.
Очень хорошо.
Spectacular rendition. Congrats on this!!!!

It’s a tough cover and you did so much better than I could. Please keep up the hard work. Proud of your work!
Must be a music teacher..!
Love it did it well 🤩
Pretty damn good! It must take a great deal of discipline and practice and a lot of talent!
Eddie you are incredible. I’m binging your content.
Wow simply amazing this was. I’m a huge PF guy. This was incredible to watch thanks I WILL BE BINGE WATCHING YOUR CHANNEL
congrats !!!! great
Waw !!!
One of the best cover renditions of "Pigs" ever done...........PERIOD. Very accurate representation of the song as well. And the fact this man plays all the instruments except one is a feat in itself. Especially attempting to mesh all these together. I can't imagine how many different times he had to play through this song to get enough satisfactory recordings to accurately mesh everything into a song. Absolutely incredible.
i love it 🤘
