@@geneharvey did you really think that only Europeans do this? See something about the tortures inflicted by Native Americans. "These are the memories of the residents of an American village attacked by the Iroquois: They stripped both Frenchmen of their clothes […] and painted their faces in a Native manner. Then the enemy [the villagers] prepared to welcome them - which meant forcing the captives to pass between two rows of ‘hosts,’ each of whom offered them a blow with a club […] They were taken to the central part of the village, where they were ordered to climb onto a specially prepared scaffold. There, one of the Iroquois grabbed a club and struck René seven or eight times, after which he tore off his fingernails." And there are other: „They tore my poor son from my breast […]. They took our little children, skewered them, held them over the fire and roasted them before our eyes.” To the sound of drums, the howling of shamans, dances and burning herbs, their fingernails were torn off, they were burned with hot firebrands, their bones and teeth were broken, pieces of flesh were torn off, and parts of their faces were cut off. The torture could last for hours. The idea was to inflict as much pain on the victim as possible. Before death, the unfortunate person was scalped. The bleeding open skull was sprinkled with ash or sand. When the enemy finally died, his flesh was separated from his bones, then boiled and eaten during ritual feasts. In the face of such descriptions, is it any wonder that Europeans saw pure evil in the Indians? Women had a better chance of survival. They were often repeatedly raped, but were killed less often. They could become slaves in an Indian camp or marry one of the warriors. Children were also spared, and they were prepared for life in the Indian world. Those slaves who did not die during torture and were not assimilated could return to the whites - if someone bought them. "[The Comanches] gather in the market and offer captives for sale. If the captive is a woman, she is first raped by her owner in front of everyone. Then the warrior says to the buyer: now you can have her, now she is good," recalled Fray Andres Varo, one of the missionaries in North America.

@@pioterx357 that story was not written by a native American. That story was written by a European moreover, There’s not one hint of any war prior to the first European sail across the globe. so again, my statements are back by facts, and not asinine anecdotal diatribes.

@@geneharvey did you know what Japanese do to the Chinese people in World War Two. Some of the historians says that they were more brutal than nazis, brutal people like Mao Zedong, Pol pot, Hirohito or ghenghis khan come from the Asia not Europe, and you can learn about them. I am not saying that Europeans back then were good, I am only saying that not only Europeans were brutal back then, but almost everyone. I can talk about more people that are born in Asia, Africa, or both americas, like Joseph Stalin (was Georgian) but I think that’s enough for now.

This is literally not even close to the actual reason. The US subs actually go longer distances and for longer periods of time than Russian subs. The main reason is actually the US submarines have proper equipment and really don't need to view the outside world as much. Plus, the US submarines are more stealthy. Russia hasn't had the same focus so the lack of windows would be an issue.

Seen a good documentary years ago that explained an insurance investigator had a logical explanation for this and debunking some myths. Summary: This place is having the more dense air and shipping traffic, so according to statistics, if you have, for exemple 10 more traffics in a place than the rest of the globe, you also have 10 more chance that accidents happens. If globaly you have an average 1 accident out of 1000 flights per year, you'll have 100 accidents in a place where you have a concentration of 100000 flights a year.
