Can't help but think that someone at the Royal Mint got this wrong, but by the time all of the paperwork had been printed it was too late to change it. Quite clearly this coin has nothing to do with any memorial. If it is it can only be in reference to the late Queen, but she does not appear on the coin, and there is no reference to her anywhere on it. I believe it was intended to be, not a MEmorial sovereign but an ARmorial sovereign, which is clearly what it is. But I don't expect that anyone will readily admit that.

I recently bought one hoping the color will rub off on me. I still not feeling it. Still like the yellow. Won't buy anymore with that copper composition. Old school yellow.
