I always think of Dan as an actor and comedian.However when it comes to Elwood Blues Dan is not playing Elwood. Man Elwood Blues,is his alter ego. When he is on stage, harp in hand, with sunglasses and dark suit on he really is the Blues Man known as Elwood Blues.

This is REAL music

It always drives me crazy how much Dan shortchanges his harp-blowin' abilities. Yeah, Johnny can play faster (& he is excellent, no doubt about that), but not every song needs it to be fast, & Dan can blow a mighty fine harp & go decently fast when he has to.

Upset to not see Mighty Mack here, Jake and Elwood had the true passion! Long live the true blues!
