It was a great wee washing machine , I gave it to a charity shop!
These are nice machines
Especially that it's still working 38 years after it was new!
If you listen towards the end, you will hear my rolling stones ring tone. That was someone phoning about another retro style dancette I was thinking of getting on eBay! I was laughing to myself after the phone call , I'm playing my first record on my new record player and someone called me to ask if I was still interested in the other one!
Hahaha I was pleasantly surprised by the doors playing. Love that band :p
Reminds me of my old JVC..Looks lovely, sounds great too.👍
They are only £75 on eBay!
Cheers!
for seal this one
I know this is 6 years later, but Have you still got that or is it long gone ? i have 3 Amstrad HiFi's and a Boombox, the videos are on my Channel, i've got the same wise crack comments on my videos, these people commenting think, just because they don't like them, they see it as a crime just because we do. Ok they aren't the best Quality, we already know that, but they are still here and going strong after over 40 years so they can't be that bad, all of mine are still going, still working and i love them.
I still have it , but I don't have it in the unit anymore. The record player part buggered up, a common thing with the speed selector not working properly. I have it inside a bag in my wardrobe. The cabinet and speakers were thrown out to the bucket. Both the tape deck's and the radio worked a treat, I cleaned the graphic equaliser pots along with the volume control pot. I still have the remote control as well, back in the day I would definitely have been happy as a pig in shit with this hi fi!
I've went through a lot of different hi fi's and this is as good as I can get it. I only have a wee living room so I don't need a big loud hi fi!
Nice setup 😃 😎
Such a cool room
Cheers thanks very much!
Very random question but did the tape decks on these Amstrad systems have Hi Speed Dubbing? A long time ago now but am pretty sure that the system my parents owned, whatever make it was didn't.
No it doesn't, I think it's more a continuous play option. I don't have it set up any more but I can imagine in the 80's if you were having a party you could put on two mixed tapes play them once the first one had finished and the other one was starting. You would turn the one over that stopped ready for the next one to stop then turn that next tape over and away you go another hour and a half of music while you enjoy your night!
Thanks for this interesting information.
Does the record player has a system to lower the weight of the needle ?
Mine didn't, but I measured the weight with a set of tone arm cartridge scales and it was at the safe weight for the cartridge.
Cheers!
Hope we will see more of your hifi 😊

It was £98. From eBay.
De que país eres? Para pasarte la información
Had one of those Aiwa's in the early 90s. i've just gave an Early 90s Aiwa to my brother, one with a little spectrum analyser and the 3 cd carousel, i think you are not getting many views on your videos because you are not putting the items that you are showing in to the thumb nail. when i look at all the titles, they are of HiFi's but the Thumb nails are just a can of beer or something on a table.
I had a similar Aiwa hi fi back in the late 90's grey with 2 way speakers with built in sub woofers. It was great with 320 watts!
Never seen one of these, i love the up pointing Vu Meter, i had a Sentra Hifi years ago that had them, it has twin tape with the Vu meter in the middle, i currently have a couple of Boomboxes that have them and they are my favourite, Really cool video.
I got this for my dad from eBay, it was old new stock from the 80's . It still had the original box and it had never been used. The speakers were in there sealed bags. My dad didn't want it so I kept it!
Heh ? a black Ts40 ? that has to be the rarest Amstrad, i have never seen one. i have videos of my Amstrad HiFi's on my channel
I hadn't seen one before either, I got it from eBay to replace my Amstrad TS88. It's factory black as I thought before it came someone had like the Rolling stones said painted it black! The record player was gummed up but it's playing fine now and it's better than the TS 88 record player.
Nice. Did it come with a remote control? Do you Know how to preset the stations memories? Do you Know how to fix the Phono? Does any Phono needle work with this Aiwa Cx 790 ? Thanks
I don't know how to tune in the radio as the reception is rubbish here. I have a separate internet radio with a CD player that's also got Bluetooth which plugs in the RCA aux at the back. I use the Audio-Technica ATN3600L stylus that's what came with my record player.
Еле крутит, мне кажется она плохо стирает. Для постельного белья и полотенец не подходит.
It is capable of washing a duvet cover. That thing I washed is a furry all in one kids suit. It's pretty heavy when wet which is why it hardly moved while it was being washed. That twin tub is in a charity shop now as I hardly used it.
All this shake can drivee oe crazy. un watchable
I know it's a wee ghetto blaster, but I was laughing to myself that while I was filming it playing a tape , the same song started playing on my CD player when I was trying out the CD function for the video. That same thing happened to me when I was driving the song I was listening to stopped because the tape had ran out, and the radio came on instead playing the same song! My girlfriend thought it was my tape still playing, I took the tape out and yes the same song was on the radio. !
Wow
Should I return my AT-LP60XBT (still in box) for a AT-LP3XBT? So confusing. My daughter is very beginner. Speakers recommended? I was buying her R1280DBS. I looked at YU4’s, but too much since I have bought other stuff for Christmas. Please, I need your opinion. Thank you!
I would keep your At -LP60xBT. If you haven't already bought the speakers you are on about , you're cheaper and better buying a PANASONIC SC-UX100E-K hi fi. It's small but great sounding. It has Bluetooth,CD player,FM radio. It also has a USB input for playing your USB stick. They are just over £130 which for a pretty good hi fi it's great. It has a RCA aux so it's compatible with your record deck. So all this for the price of the AT-LP3XBT. The price includes the cost of the AT-LP60BT!
lol dont take his advice.. he puts tweeters against the ceiling
It's got a pitch control, but I left it in the middle and opened it up and set the speed myself. I use a record I know how it should sound so I know it's set right!
How was the setup as far as the pitch/speed control?
Please, man, my needle isn't reaching the plate, could you tell me why?
I haven't a clue what it could be, if it was the weight on the tone arm turn it until it touches the plate. If that doesn't work try screwing down the black screw where the cuing lever is until the tone arm goes down. If that works check the weight with a set of stylus scales. 3.5 grams is fine!
@@davarosmith1334 Thanks for answer! I solved something like you said, I cut a little bit the rubber that holds the arm, now it can touch the disc.
Im planning to make my Set like yours. With a GPO pr200, a Cassette Deck techincs and Turntable maybe also GPO… How Is it to make them work together? Theres any tips for me create my set vinyl + Cassette Deck + cdplayer receiver gpo? Thanks!
The GPO amplifier has no out put RCA for the tape deck. I had to connect my record player in to my internet radio which has a aux in put and a out put which is connected to the tape deck in put, then out put to the GPO input. A bit of a pain in the arse to set up but it works!
Yes they are proper tweeters!
Do those smaller speakers work, or are they just for looks?
try not shaking the camera too much next time.
It's my phone camera I don't have a proper one. !

Sadly junk
That's so loud
Yes I know, I have since put it in a charity shop. I had it 3 years.
I saved for mine in 1981 when i was 18 i was soo exited. I broke the on off switch of first time i switched it on i was gutted.
You could have took it back and got a replacement . I take it you got it working?
@@davarosmith1334 my dad took it back and they said i had to wait but there was one in the window but they said it was for display purposes only. But my dad insisted i had it. So i had it. My dad wasn't going home without it. So i got that one 😥🤣

Nice set up. I didn't know there was a receiver also. I've only seen the turntable before. Just wanted to add that your wallpaper is really great as well. 😊
Hi yes was a nice set up, I've since put it in a charity shop. I rearranged my living room and got another hi fi unit with a new amplifier and all in one hi fi. I got the wallpaper from eBay!
So was I , I checked eBay for a couple of years. I eventually saw one about 100 miles away so I bid on it , I won it at £65. I left at 7 o'clock in the morning, I was back by 12 in the afternoon. By just over half an hour I was washing clothes! My women said I was mental, but you don't see them much anymore. I did have a modern twin tub that started leaking after a few weeks I sent it back.
I have been looking for this washer for a few years now.
Alan Sugar ---- you're fired 😂
12:15 I had one many years ago , ended up in a wheelie bin ---- but it spat it out !!!! 😅
the speakers were always the weak point on these systems, a decent set of speakers made a world of difference.. It was never gonna be Hi-Fi but compared to the entry level crap you get nowadays, Amstrad wasn't so bad after all....
Your right there, most of the cheap hi fi's you get nowadays sound tinny , but most of them have RCA out put so you can connect to an amplifier. I have a Steepletone all in one, connected to an amplifier it sounds great. I have a wee living room so I don't need a loud hi fi anymore.
My parents had a tower hifi system in the late 80s/early 90s which like this one was housed in a wooden cabinet. Remember it having a twin cassette deck but I'm pretty sure it wasn't this one. The turntable had a speed selector on the far left hand side and an on/off switch on the far right side. Also remember it making a really funky sort of clicking sound when auto shutting off. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what sort of hi fi this could have been? Am assuming it was an Amstrad but not sure. My parents got rid of it in about March 1993. Remember the last couple of months of them using it the auto return was increasingly not functioning.
The auto return feature wasn't available for the model of Amstrad I had. Maybe your mum and dad had a Hitachi one they looked similar.
Thanks for the suggestion. It could well have been Hitachi.
I remember going into Comet in Bath in 1980 something. A middle aged man and woman was looking at one of these or similar model . The man said to the woman it’s got to be good as it’s got Dolby on it . Me and my mate looked at each other and had a silent chuckle
