I have a pair of never used pairs of the Nylon Cortez with original box, however I can’t find much information on it or where it falls in regard to the timeline of when they released compared to other cortezs/other Nike shoes ? MJ hates highs and didn’t like the cut of the AJ1 high. Didn’t like the 2 either, design, weight or cut. Tinker actually listened to him and made the 3 a true mid. Yes, his AJ1 cut is certainly a mid, but it has the same design structure and number of lockdown eyelets like the high. So the real deal holy field version of an Air Jordan 1 PE that he wore has yet to see actual release. Because it would be a retail hybrid of AJ1 Highs and Mids.

Nike didn't rip off the shoes. Bill Bowerman designed the Onitsuka Tiger Cortez when Nike, then Blue Ribbon Sports, was still the distributor for Onitsuka in the US. Nike just made some changes to the design for their version, and then later went on their own. That's why they were able to sell the shoes and not have it become a legal mess, because they actually partly owned the design. A court decided that Nike and Onitsuka could both sell the shoes for that same reason. Nike kept the Cortez name and Onitsuka Tiger kept selling their version as the Tiger Corsair.

Let me just say im not even a shoe enthusiast, and this collection is actually insane. Does he get any sponsorships for this? This dude knows his shit.
