My #1 Bible is my New Scofield Reference Bible I bought Sept 16, 1982 when I was stationed on the USS Tripoli (LPH-10) with you.

Understanding the words from that time is very important , like the word leasing means lies or lying and it is not in most modern dictionaries as lies or lying, but rent something for a period of time.

Nice. I have noticed the wide margined Bibles are hard to find. I am a dual column verse by verse red letter KJV fan but with reference after verse. All that is hard to find in one Bible. Sweet collection Ronnie,God Bless.

I read this while I'm using my stationary bike. The text is big enough to see, while riding.

I own this. I read this commentary chapter by chapter everyday, then read the corresponding chapter in the KJV, and the NKJV, then take notes in that particular chapter.

I previously purchased the premium in brown calfskin. Just purchased this version as my "truck bible" without too much concern of damaging it as an everyday carry. I agree... It definitely could be a conversation stater tool for witnessing. Very masculine and the translation reputation makes this purchase an easy one. God Bless ✝️

Thank you for your video. I have benefited from "Grasping God's Word." The detail provided in the book was very helpful in providing direction in studying the Scriptures. I'm currently reading Fuhr's book, "Inductive Bible Study." I have read a small portion of Stuart & Fee's book. I found "Living by the Book" the least helpful. It comes across as a leisurely stroll while the others put you right to work. One of the concerns I have is that with the exception of Hendricks is that they are not necessarily very helpful to the average layman. I would like to make three suggestions to viewers in that direction. The authors of "Grasping God's Word" have done a version of their book written for laymen. That is titled "Journey into God's Word" which is in its second edition. The second book I recommend is "Dig Deeper" by Nigel Beynon and Andrew Sack. They are based in the UK and provide one tool per chapter to give the average reader some practical direction in studying the Bible. I have found this helpful. Chapter 5 is titled "The Linking Word tool" dealing with the importance and place of conjunctions. Chapter 11 is titled "The repetition tool." The third book I'm recommending is a fairly new title, "14 Fresh Ways to Enjoy the Bible" by James F Coakley. Many of the tools he gives apply primarily to the narrative books and portions of scripture. When he provides a tool he gives examples from literature and film which use the tool being addressed. Only chapter 11 addresses the same tool as "Dig Deeper." I will often go back to the last two titles in particular to be reminded of tools and how they can be used.

Didn't realize the maps on this one would be grayscale. I thought it would be colored like the Korean versions. Just got my blue edge‐lined copy. It's really nice but I was a bit bummed to not have the colored maps.

The *only* translation of the New Testament I use is the DBH 2nd Edition. LSB is a very inferior translation. I do not recommend it.

This nasb 2020 large print thinline is my favorite Bible material wise. The cover has a synthetic paste down liner. Center column references with the translation notes on the bottom. Even though paragraph the verse numbers are BOLD. You’ll never lose your place when preaching. I wish there was a LSB similar in size with references. I should buy another one and send it off for a rebind to get a full Yap on it.

I wish they had references in their medium size bibles. Now it’s only in there larger bibles or compact ones.

LSB only! All other English translations are anathema!

I absolutely love the format of this Bible. It reminds me of the first edition of the NIV with the dual column middle reference verse by verse with a study notes at the bottom. That is my favorite type of Bible. Thanks for the review God bless you, brother
