how fortunate to have this master's painting at the MOMA, thanks for sharing,
Omg I went and saw that a year ago and it was amazing. MOMA is one of my favorite museums I've been to.
what a treasure, old school with the way they keep the door open, hope it never changes
It truly is an awesome bar, I included more footage during my full Redhook Brooklyn tour
@@Antonioonthego thanks will check it out, I love the old school bars, what a history
The train is free, plenty of buses and I walk, never drove.
you really captured out city, thank you Antonio, and yes the bocce courts are used, leagues in our town, you know Mr Martins history well, good job!
Yes! Belgian blocks or sett stone is what those really are called, you can tell because they look uniform in size. Cobblestones are cobbled together, so they have different sizes all put together. Great vid.
Yes, so I've heard. Thanks for the feedback!
Great stroll, enjoyed the religious statues.thanks for mentioning my hometown, Bayonne😊
Thanks for the comment. I did a short little tour in Bayonne last year. Love that town.
@@Antonioonthego glad you like our town, I enjoy Staten Island also, we're both good neighbors:)
Thanks 🌹 for the stroll. I was not aware of Meucci.
Very interesting stuff. Great to see the hidden less known parts. In some ways, it’s more interesting than the popular hot spots. Last month I visited the NYC area and did a walk in White Plains New York and that was interesting. Lots of hidden parts in the NYC metro area.
I plan to do more unknown spots. I've been around but that was before my streaming/youtube days. Sleepy Hollow is nice, I want to go back.
@@Antonioonthego after my NYC visit I drove through Tennessee and randomly stopped in Greenville Tennessee. A town I never heard of and discovered the house of President Andrew Johnson from the 1800s which is a preserved. I had no idea about any of this and it was all random accident
@@ramencurry6672 I had a similar experience in Princeton, NJ. I was walking around and then someone pointed out Albert Einstein's house to me. I had no idea I had walked right past it.
@@Antonioonthego that’s awesome. I love Princeton.
is like listening to Peter Griffin's voice
Stewie!
I wish I could go to the chess form
hi mark
My family and I just sat down to eat there (the outside seating area). They did not bring us any normal porcelain plates and bowls. The clam chowder soup was served in a plastic bowl, the soft shell crabs which were $45 each were both served in plates in aluminum trays. The lobster roll was not good either. We also had additional paper plates. My husband and I ordered a “glass” of chardonnay each and they brought us individual mini plastic bottles instead, that we could have simply bought from a corner store. Overall, the whole experience was a complete disaster and i don’t know how this place calls themselves a restaurant. Real disappointment.
Perhaps it's because you sat outside. I never saw any plastic bowls.
LITTLE ITALY in Italian is PICCOLA ITALIA or LA PICCOLA ITALIA.
CAFFÈ DE LA VENEZIA is improper Italian. The correct Italian rendering is CAFFÈ DI VENEZIA or CAFFÈ DELLA VENEZIA.
This is right in back of my freinds hoise
How amazing was that display!! No comparison to being there of course, but we got a taste! I've watched from the other side, from Queens, somewhere, too way way back in the day to remember where, Astoria LIC way who knows 😆 And good eye there how you spotted that gas lamp , awesome !! No way I would've waited in that line either uggh, good idea going to that bar cafe - you mentioned Aperol spritz, just had one the other day 😁😋 Great tour!! Liked the walk down the side streets of Hoboken! Beautiful photo with that stunning sky btw 👌👌
They did the show on the Hudson river this time out. Hoboken is beautiful. Thanks again Lisa for the insightful comments.
Chinese people, changed 86th a lot. It’s so disgusting and depressing walking there now, you only see garbage on the floor, smelling street. 🤢🤢🙁🙁
Great vid thanks for the hometown tour
Glad you enjoyed it
11:16 weird shit indeed lol
Great video. Cheers from the South Carolina Lowcountry
Thanks for watching!
That place was a dump forever. Good they cleaned it up over the past years.
Beautiful as always. Love your narrative comments. Thanks!
I appreciate the input regarding the content, thanks!
Great ending with the colorful explosions and city scape. Great to see Hoboken. I recently visited Jersey and drove through some areas like Rahway, New Brunswick, etc….Even though it’s in the NYC metro area North Jersey can have a small town feel to it
@@ramencurry6672 I briefly went to college in New Brunswick back in my 20s and I visited there recently. Rahway is absolutely gorgeous with those elevated steel train lines, and the stream that runs through the town.
@@Antonioonthego Yes, I used to frequently pass through the Rahway area back in the old days but never actually visited so I finally did recently. I liked it. It’s a nice area
I was trying to find if there are any Chinese porcelain in the Brooklyn museum before I go there, so I typed "Brooklyn Museum", and I found your video which you exactly shoot what I was looking for, that is great, each of these porcelains value $500,000 to $1M.
At least! Try the Metropolitan museum if you haven't already.
@@Antonioonthego I have been to the Mets many times. one of thte greatest...
They filmed the original shaft movie there 💯 Antonio thank you
I did not know that. I may watch the film again. Thanks for the info, cool.
Everything is beautiful. The coffee, the coffee machine, the interior. Even the customers are beautiful
Welcome back to the land of the living ❤ how many years without coffee?
About 7 years. I'm a very high energy person and so I don't drink it, but I enjoyed this one! No sugar of course lol.
NYC is great but the gun laws stink. 🦨
You just need a relative in the NYPD to vouch for you and fill out a few forms.
@@Antonioonthego I rest my case : )
Delicious
Randazzo...fried Calamari was delicious, I went 2 weeks ago..but the baked clams...weren't great..the top wasn't toasted enough, was mushy
Not a fan of the baked clams either. The fried calamari are always great though. The baked clams at Lenny's are probably in my top 2.
Use to be a great Italian Deli in Howard Beach called RagTime....there was a Lennys...downtown Bklyn also years ago ...in Bklyn Heights 😊
Is that diner still there ?
Oh which one?
50...still young...I'm 74😮
I rounded off the # Haha....I'm 47
Capt. Mike...used to run an open boat fishing trip out of Howard Beach..I went often years ago...There was also a place called Pizza City..back years ago ,also Tony Romas..and a good Chinese Buffet...
Should have passed John Gotti's house.😊
I didn't think of that....good idea.
You looked like you were in your happy place there! Didn't know that was Ol' Blue Eyes' favorite seafood place !! Love a summer rainstorm - send some over this way would ya 😄The ending where everyone's eating and talking was interesting!! Great walk again!!!
Haha, I love the rain too. I wanted to B-roll the wall of fame. There's a huge portraint of Sinatra in the place that was autographed. But my family didn't want to wait as I filmed lol.
@@Antonioonthego 😄😅oh well, next time 😁
Thanks for the tour...
My pleasure, glad you liked this one.
Great ending. Loved the dining conversations. Could be a movie scene. Cali kid must be loving it. Normally don’t see that type of higher quality grade clams elsewhere further out in America so that meal is unique for visitors
You should have seen their wall of fame. Ball players, Frank Sinatra. Politicians, actors. were all regular visitors. Yeah, at the end I thought I’d do something different and just keep it rolling without any film cutting.
Seafood lovers dream ....everything looked delicious...right out of the Amalfi coast....thank you
They have a lot of nice pasta dishes too, but we had pizza at New Park just minutes before. I was a pescaterian for 15 years. Love seafood. Thanks again Robyn.
👍🏼❤️
Those plates look fantastic
A great walking tour. That seafood looks amazing. Cheers, Antonio! 👍🏻👍🏻✌️
Oh I can't wait to revisit that restaurant! Cheers Dwayne.
If I didn't know any better, I'd swear that this was a street in Scarborough here in Toronto (it, North York, Etobicoke, and East York are a lot like this part of Queens that Antonio's walking in.)
Interesting.
It's freezing here in San Francisco
How is that happening? And at this time of year?
San Francisco is always a little cold usually at night though
I took my devon there.
One more flashback. I worked at Macy's.. I guess they didn't like me and they wanted to get rid of me so they'd send me out to other stores. They would send me to the Macy's at the time that was in Flatbush and Kings plaza just to get b******* supplies like gift boxes and shopping bag handles. First time I thought about that in years though.. maybe Queens too but not sure about that one. Things are kind of foggy from 35 years ago.lol
As a kid I remember when the mall had the honeycomb and I remember they had a place where they were blowing glass and then another place that had practical joke stuff. But that was in the '70s. And then I worked in the mall from 87 to 94. It was a fun place and I had lots of great memories.. our mall crew would try and play football or Frisbee in the empty part of the parking lot by Macy's on our lunch hour but security would always chase us away. Also while I was working at Macy's in the early '90s we wondered into the JCPenney wing which was not officially open yet and Gloria jeans had opened their doors but they weren't officially opened yet either but we wanted it in there and got coffee. It was a friend and I from Macy's and the guy said we were their first customers.. oh, talking about Gloria jeans so 30 plus years later they are still open but I was the first customer in Gloria jeans. Not that that means anything.. LOL
Glad to hear that this video brought you back. It was nice to read your post and learn how it used to be.
Great video. What time of the day were you there? I will do a walking tour in the next few weeks and would like to walk through around between 5-6am.
Your walk today was sooo enjoyable!! So much to see, from the park to the old coffee machine at Reggio's , the eateries and interesting shops, cool facts - the tree and the Flemish bricks, so interesting , also I've heard Bill Burr talk about his start at the Comedy Cellar, over and over again lol 😆😁😅All in all, a beautiful relaxing stroll!!! The only bad part is that it has to end, you'll do more I'm sure tho 😊😉 Great job !!!👍👍
