Hey thanks for this. My emperors children have nice tabards now
Nice and simple 👍😉
This is gonna make my Savana Tyranids top tier! Any advice on adding fur?
Absolutely brilliant explanation on how to create snow. Thank you so much 👍
Scalecolor....they are mi course!!! I m tryng to not give up on them... But it is really frustrati g to get back to the noob stage... Any suggestion? It will be really a painter s blessing
Nice! Every one of these models looks amazing! 🔥🎸🔥
It would be helpful if you told us how much PSI you increased the compressor by. For me, yesterday i tried just zenithal highlighting for the first time and i spend about half the time trying to figure out how to properly dial in the setting and still didn't get anywhere.
It's good to know that there's a precise ratio for mixing Scale Colour for the airbrush. 1 good healthy squidge thinner : 1 good chunky blob of paint. How hard would it have been for them to just print this on the bottle?
I would love to know how the Escher gang came out in the end .. hope you can do a update :) Thanks for all the tips and tricks you shared .. they where very helpful !
The idea of seams is great. I'll definitely be stealing that for my Emperor's Children ...
Glad to hear it. Thanks for the comment. Good luck, I bet those noise marines will look fantastic!
I am trying to find the scale 75 paints on a teacher's budget. I found one guy who marked them up 200 percent, I can't find the gentleman who had them at a slight discount. ANy suggetions? what do you think about instacolors and contrast paints? thank you sir
I love the transition into melting and mud. I was almost convinced that if you touched it that you'd get mud and slush on your hands.
cheers boss working on some gyaru sororitas now and this is a lifesaver
Glad to hear it mate
The tau are wonderfull
This is a realy easy wat to clean your airbrush.... thank you so much... also the soapy water hack.... brilliant....
😀
Thanks for all of the video's. I stumbled on to them when searching on airbrush tutorials. I am waiting on my ordered infinity and have found several people who use airbrush flow improver to thin their paints. Can you tell me if this is also a good idea to thin the paints for airbrushing.
Yes I have a video on this channel on how to do it
Wow...😵 thuis is amazing
Thanks. I never showed the finish piece?! I must lol
She looks fierce! I love this!
have you had any experience with the Vallejo Mecha airbrush varnish?
holly shit dude I just saw how many subs you have and I don't get it your style is by far one that I really enjoy (mainly on the skin layer buildup from muscle color to finished skin). I really enjoy your realism and really smooth transitions see the ogryn (That is what really grinds my gears in some pintjobs). BTW lots of love from Barcelona
Thanks mate that’s really kind. I need to upload more.
Awesome job on your diorama and great video for doing snow effects. I agree with you that a lot of people in this hobby fail to capitalize on techniques and products originally designed for other hobbies. I'm primarily an historical gamer but i get great ideas and tips on painting, terrain building, scratch building from the scifi/fantasy, model railroad and scratch building communities. For example, someone might not be able to afford plastic sheets simulating corrugated metal but some craft shops sell letter sized corrugated sheets of paper that are cheap. You can also take a cardboard box and carefully strip off the outer layer to reveal the corrugated paper underneath. Simply put, explore other hobbies for tips and use your imagination.
Awesome as always fella.
Stephen Coles thanks mate, an oldie this one :)
That Dread is all kinds of awesome.

Love this series great work
Ghost piper thank you :)
Awesome vids. Just inspired me to get this bust. Thanks :)
MrJakedsb my pleasure mate. Thanks for your comment and have fun
Thank you for sharing your expertise. I can really use this. I noticed some of the piles have a slightly frosty translucent edge to them giving them that slightly melting slushy look. I assume to get the edges like this, you spread/pulled these areas/edges of the snow mixture thinner thus when the PVA within the mixture dried, the edges turned out like this? Thanks for any insight.
Jerrico71 that is correct mate. Thanks for noticing and taking the time to comment. Shout me if you need any help. Paul.
@@BullysPaintingParlour Fantastic! You just bailed me out of a predicament. I totally appreciate your help! Thank you and thanks for the quick reply! Take care, be well and may you and all of your loved ones stay safe mate! Thanks again! :-)
Jerrico71 how did your project go?! I hope it worked well for you?
@@BullysPaintingParlour my project is working out well, thank you very much for asking. When I was looking at your project, I was wondering how I may be able to utilize either your melting snow pile effect all together or just its frosty translucent edges. After more thought, I ended up needing more of a wet slush look which I did acquire via baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) and thin CA (cyanoacrylate) glue a.k.a. Super Glue but thinned-out by the manufacturer. The thin CA glue rapidly soaks into all of the baking soda before it hardens and acts a sufficient protective barrier to shield the baking soda from interacting with air contaminants that would otherwise turn it yellow over time (i.e. the biggest problem with baking soda's use as a snow effect). The end effect of baking soda coupled with thin CA glue is an excellent very wet snow slush look that lasts and it comes with a bonus i.e. it is extremely tough and can withstand being played-with; which are my current challenges with this project since it is being made to withstand common & general playing (not rough-housing) by kids. Thanks again for asking and for the muse! All the best!
Jerrico71 my pleasure buddy! You took the time to comment and reply on my little channel, so it’s the least I can do! I’d love to see pics! I’m on Bully.pb@gmail.com

Rakadazan thanks!

you have to adjust your camera refresh rate to the refresh rate of your lamp man. this will help with the flicker. usually you can change 50/60hz
Marcin Pawlowski thank you! I will try that buddy

Welcome back bully. How'd you get on with the Escher gangers.
David Hills thanks mate, um no progress yet.... will pick them up again soon lol

I should get that one soon then thank you so much
Hi there, great video mate. I want to have a go at doing a base for a 1/6 scale figure ive got and didnt know where to start with the snow. Will pick up some of this snow from my local hobbycraft. I just wanted to ask, what is a good material for me to use as a base for a snowy look and you mention that you can spray/brush the base with pva glue then sprinkle the woodlands snow over it, but could i do that AND then once its dry add more snow in this mething that you are showing in this video to give it a piled deep snow look ontop. How long does it usually take to dry too? thanks alot
Dave Young hi Dave, thanks for the comment. This method can be applied to literally any surface. It takes around 24-30 hrs to dry solid, but it’s workable after 12. Hope that helps mate.
@@BullysPaintingParlour Brilliant, thanks alot, want to give it a go at doing a snow base for a figure. thanks mate
Impressive. I hope to see a video of the painted models.
The Last Roman thanks, yes I need to paint them still lol
I would like to see how you proceed with brush work on this one. I get the airbrush prep, then shadows with brush, but I always struggle with further brush highlights, especially on a big surface like that. Some tips?
Lukáš Valkovič watch the other videos in this series then mate lol
Lovely! I'm curious what the underlying brown/yellow you did was? It is beautiful!
Kevin Toole thanks mate. I worked from African shadow upto orange and then added the yellow and then glazed orange
Also I think the other vids in the series do a step by step of that
@@BullysPaintingParlour cracking I will check that out! This was your first video I found and love it!
Kevin Toole I really appreciate you taking the time to comment mate. Thank you
Chunks of shite! Yay! Great video.
Asmodeus Vadrigar thanks mate
New camera position is working out great, much more of the painting is staying in frame.
crumzRcrumy thanks, I’m still improving this
Since you asked, I'm from Denver Colorado U.S.A. Your videos Have helped me improve my airbrush skills more in a few days than months of reading forums.
crumzRcrumy I’m really pleased mate
Thank you for making this video It was literally exactly the kind of information I was looking for about painting naturalistic skin.
crumzRcrumy you are very welcome! There are others in this series too. Thanks for taking the time to comment
How do you thin your scale paints for ab? For regular layer? I have tendency to overthin them to a glaze and can't find golden ratio. I use thinner and flow improver, does it make any difference other than retardant in fi?
Marcin Pawlowski if you scroll back to my first videos there is an explanation for how to do so and my rule of thumb. It’s actually very easy once you understand mate.
@@BullysPaintingParlour you mean the drop running on paper rule of thumb? :) ive already seen alot of your videos, i was just hoping there is some golden ratio for scale paints (like 1:2 paint to flow improver/thinner/water). the problem is viscosity of the thinner im using, its different for thinner/flow improver and water, so paint thinned by those will run different than thinned with water ;) and i think there is kind of paper used to test, watercolour paper soaks water and the drop will be harder to do than on xero paper ;p yea, im overthinking everything, even art ;)

really nice conversion work right there
Beast n' Brushes thanks mate, I appreciate you taking time to comment
Good stuff, this could be handy for my Noise Marines :D
The idea of adding seams on something like a cloak made from fur/hides is a great one and its something that, when you hear it, makes you think "Why didn't I think of that before?"; it really does break up the surface nicely, adding a bit of realism and also allowing you greater creative control with the pattern. When I first saw the miniature, I also thought it might be a cool idea to actually just do the print only on one side of the cloak and make the other side look like normal cloth or leather.
TheRunesmythe thank you for taking the time to comment. I think I will “patchwork” some of them with print and suede effect as you suggested. The rest are mostly the loin cloth, but the converted flamer heavy could serve well because of surface area
