I saw a gorgeous puma cross me while I was driving down my road 5 years ago in Chapel Hill. I live by the Chatham line. He walked with such reverence and paid no attention to my car. I was driving slow to begin with and came to a stop. We live in a very wooded area. It walked from the hill; crossed the street, and went down the ravine towards Morgan Creek. I didn’t want anything to happen to him and made sure animal control wouldn’t hurt it. I called and made the report. The only time I’ve ever seen one in the wild was in Colorado. I feel so honored to have seen such beauty.

Very interesting. I've done a lot of research into this sort of stuff in the county. Which Roberson Creek Road is this, if you don't mind me asking? The one of Mt. Gilead Church Road, or off 64 west of Pittsboro? Currently chasing a story from this time period in these areas.
