This dessert is a summertime favorite. It’s easy, healthy and light and makes you feel good afterwards. The Greek yogurt is packed with gut friendly probiotics and the berries are loaded with fiber. Make sure to try out these frozen yogurt fruit bites and let me know how you like it! Ingredients: • 1/2 cup full-fat yogurt • 1 teaspoon cinnamon • 1 tablespoon maple syrup Mix together and add berries and bananas or whatever fruit you love. Feel free to add more or omit the maple syrup. Freeze until fruit hardens. Tip: thaw for five minutes to get a creamer consistency before eating.

Easy Quick High Protein Dinner Idea The weather is getting cooler and I’m craving something warm, cozy and creamy! Ingredients 2 chicken breasts boneless skinless 1/2 teaspoon paprika 1/2 teaspoon salt 1/2 teaspoon black pepper 1 tablespoon olive oil divided 1 onion medium, chopped 4-5 cloves garlic minced 8 ounces brown mushrooms sliced 3 cups chicken stock/broth 1/3 cup milk 1/4 teaspoon salt to taste ¼ teaspoon pepper to taste 14.5 ounces uncooked penne pasta (I used Barilla Protein +) 1 cup parmesan cheese fresh grated (or any shredded cheese) ¼ cup parsley chopped, optional Instructions 1. Season chicken with paprika, salt and pepper. Heat 2 teaspoons of oil in a large saucepan or pot over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and sear on both sides until golden brown. Remove and set aside. 2. Add the remaining oil to the pot. Fry the onion and garlic until the onion becomes transparent, stirring occasionally (about 2 minutes). 3. Add the mushrooms and cook for another 5 minutes, while stirring occasionally. Then, add the cooked chicken, broth, milk, salt and pepper, and bring to a gentle simmer. Add the pasta and simmer until pasta is al dente, about 15 minutes, while stirring occasionally. 4. Stir in the shredded cheese until it melts through the sauce. Remove from heat and allow to sit for 5 minutes to allow the sauce to thicken. 5. Garnish with fresh parsley and extra cheese

#3 Yes organic is healthier! Thats completely untrue. Its been proven that most conventional foods are heavily sprayed with pesticides like gylcosphate. Gylcosphate is well known to cause cancer. Yes "organic" isn't 100%free of pesticides but it's at least a step in the right direction. I'm sticking with organic. Less pesticides, better for the environment and NO GMOs. Especially in America is organic a must!

Balanced lunch box ideas perfect for back to school! Here are the details: Option 1: turkey and cheese quesadilla on whole wheat pita with salsa. Recipe: on a whole wheat pita (or wrap), add some cheese and turkey. Put it in a toaster oven or air fryer for a few minutes to melt the cheese and then slice in triangles. Option 2: I like the @justbarechicken brand for chicken nuggets. I buy it from Costco. The yogurt dip is made from Greek yogurt and a ranch powder dressing. Mix them together. Tastes JUST like ranch but way more protein and nutrients! Option 3: Easy homemade pizza. Recipe: on whole wheat pita bread (or a wrap), add salsa and some shredded cheese (you can also add some turkey for more protein). Put in oven or air fryer until the cheese melts. SO GOOD!

My weekly grocery list: 1. Four protein sources. I try to have 2 plant-based & 2 meats. 2. 4-5 high fiber carbs: whole wheat pasta, bread, Wasa crispbreads, quinoa, lentils 3. 3 healthy fats: avocado, hummus, nuts, olive oil, chia seeds 4. at least 4 veggies: cucumbers, tomatoes, spinach, carrots 5. at least 4 fruits: mango, banana, berries, apples 6. 3-5 snacks: single serve yogurts, dark choc, single cheese I meal prep a few protein and high-fiber carbs over the weekend such as marinating the chicken, cooking the quinoa to use as a base for a few dinners and chop veggies. I like to keep whole wheat pasta and beans on hand. I add beans to salads or use in place of tuna for a “tuna” salad.

WHAT I EAT IN A DAY AS A DIETITIAN I started the day with @yaza.foods Plain Labneh. Labneh is a thicker, creamier strained yogurt which makes it high in protein and rich in probiotics. There are so many ways to enjoy labneh. Today I had it with a tomato and fresh oregano mixed with olive oil and salt. I also added toasted pine nuts for a boost of healthy fats. I paired whole wheat crispbreads with it for a filling breakfast that kept me full until lunch. Lunch was a quick and easy salad. Dice lettuce, tomatoes and cucumbers. Add beans of choice. The dressing is the star of the show and turned boring veggies to a meal I could not get enough of. Add a big spoon or 2 of Yaza Labneh, 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 pressed garlic clove, juice of 1/2 lemon and salt. Mix together and pour over your salad. The labneh added so much creaminess and a boost of protein and probiotics. Dinner was a one-pan taco dish. 1 tablespoon olive oil 1 pound ground beef 1 small yellow onion chopped 2 colored bell peppers chopped 2 teaspoons chili powder 1 teaspoon cumin 1 teaspoon oregano 1/2 teaspoon salt and black pepper 1 can beans of choice, rinsed 1 cup chopped sweetpotatoes 1 cup chunky salsa 1 cup water 1 cup shredded cheese Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef, onion, and bell pepper. Cook for 3 to 5 minutes, until the beef is browned and cooked through and the onion is beginning to soften. Add the seasoning and mix together. Add the beans and sweetpotatoes. Mix. Add the salsa and water. Stir to combine the ingredients. Bring to a gentle boil, cover, then reduce the heat and let simmer 20 minutes. Remove the lid and stir and continue to let simmer with the lid on until the sweetpotaotes are tender. Top with cheese and you can broil until the cheese is melted and browned.
