It took over 6 years to finally meet the owner. We're moving 500 miles away in two weeks. The chances of seeing the owner again are slim to none.

We traced the serial number which shows it was built in 1910.

I wouldn't know where to begin. I haven't used it in over 40 years.

@@gip068 Not a lot. I preferred to sew outside or while I watched TV so I just used a needle and thread.

If Eric doesn't want it I may keep it. Someone commented below that it would look great in a terrerium and they're right. Looks like I'm gonna have to take the kid garter snake hunting in the spring!!🤣

Oooh! Yes!! I have a huge aquarium sitting empty, just waiting for a new reptile friend! We haven't had a reptile since I had to rehome my 5 year old Tangerine Honduran Milk Snake to move in with my dad to help him when his health declined. My son has had Beardies and Cresties before too. If Eric doesn't want it, I may keep it and go garter snake hunting in the spring!!🥰

Welcome!! Thank you so much for subscribing!! At the moment we have 9 cats and kittens of various ages and domestic/feral levels. Ginger and Star are both 15.5 years old and we've had them since they were 7 weeks (Ginger) and 23 months (Star). Norman is 2.5 years old and ran in front of my car when he was 8 weeks out out in the country, on a dirt road, after a rainstorm. Marbles and Monsoon were born in Sept 2021. They were feral littermates born to feral parents. Marbles tamed himself and came inside in May 2022. We caught Monsoon in a live trap on Sept 15, 2023. Yvie and Ru are Monsoon's only surviving kittens from her litter in April 2023. Feral until we caught them in a live trap mid Sept 2023. Monsoon was a month pregnant when we caught her and she gave birth in our spare room on Oct 12 to 4 babies. Bob, Bianca, Katya, and Willow. B, B, and K went to new homes in mid Dec. We kept Willow. A few days before Monsoon gave birth we caught her younger brother Pepper in the live trap. He was born in Feb 2023 and was feral as well. So, current count is 9. We are still looking for homes for a couple of the younger ones. They are all neutered now except for Yvie and Ru who are scheduled for their surgeries on Feb 16th and Willow who is still too young. Other than Monsoon who was feral the longest, you'd never know these were once cats who ran from humans. Even Monsoon impressed our vet when I took her in for a check up a month after the babies were born. There was no hissing or biting or scratching. She was obviously scared but she was better behaved than a lot of the domestic cats the vet sees! We didn't need a net or leather gloves. I simply asked everyone to move slowly and speak softly and I made sure to keep my hand ready to take the hit should the visit prove too much for Monsoon and she felt the need to lash out. She didn't. So, yes, admittedly, there are too many. The plan for a couple of them was to do a TNR but I can't release what is now essentially a tame and happy housecat. That would go completely against what we've been trying to accomplish here. I thought for sure that Pepper would have to be released after we neutered him until I went to the sunroom 4 days after we trapped him and found him curled up on my son's lap, happy dancing, and purring. Everyone told me that Monsoon would have to be released after her spay because there was no way a 2 year old feral would ever be tamed. Then she allowed me to stay with her while she gave birth and started letting me pick her up and hold her. So, she's not being released either. I'm also not going to be able to rehome her. There MAY be someone else out there who could handle her. Someone else who would learn to understand her like I do and who she might honour with the privilege of HER getting to know them. But I highly doubt it. Monsoon came into my life at a time when I desperately needed her. When I needed something more, Monsoon trusted me enough to start bringing her kittens over to start to get to know me. When everything else fell to absolute crap, Monsoon walked into the live trap AFTER her two remaining babies had already done so. No kitten left behind. Monsoon gave me a purpose after months of me being lost and aimless. I owe her the best life I can give her and that life is with me. By the way, I could write about these amazing creatures for days!! No one is ever under any obligation to keep reading. 😄🥰

Judging by his family tree, he's going to be huge! Peaka's mom and uncle Marbles are average size but they were already 6 months old before they started coming by to eat. His older brothers (Ru and Yvie) are 8 months old and they're already the size of adults but I was feeding their mom throughout her pregnancy as well as making sure there was always food available for them on the deck when they were old enough for Monsoon to bring over. Pepper has also always had enough to eat and he's the largest kitten I've ever seen, in person, at only 10 months old. Peaka's mom was given as much food as she could eat, kept safe from the elements and the predators, and had to do absolutely nothing but eat, sleep, and be a mom since she was a month pregnant. Genetics have proven that these kitties can grow very large even in harsh conditions. I think Peaka is going to show us just how huge they can grow with absolutely perfect conditions! 🥰🥰🦁

No, Ru is their older brother. Ru was born in April to Monsoon and Peaka and the girls were born in October, also to Monsoon.
