I have watched ‘Heartland’ from the beginning, several times now, I vowed not to watch it again when the character Ty left the series, it had filled fourteen years of my life after my dear husband passed away 2013. although it will never be the same without Ty, the draw of the magnificent scenery, fabulous horses 🐎 and Grandpa’s wise words and of-cause the entire cast continues to entertain me, I’ve grown old with ‘Heartland’ and ‘Outlander’ I just hope I survive long enough to see the conclusion of both remarkable series:) thanks 🙏 for the update 🤗

The dating in season 17 especially Amy's relationship with Nathan is simply the writers attempt to keep the storyline interesting, and not boring. I believe if Ty comes back to the show Heartland will continue with Ty, Amy and Lindy together again. If he doesn't return the writers will conclude the series with Amy unable to accept another(not just because Ty can't be replaced} because of her continuing strong love and feelings for Ty. She will conclude that her peace and happiness is with her as a single mother raising Lindy in the manner Ty would have wanted. In my opinion, because we had 14 years of this remarkable love story, whereby the viewers got to intimately know Ty, it makes it nearly impossible to erase him from the viewers minds and on a larger scale future Heartland seasons.

I read they explained it as he had been in a coma. That still does not explain them spreading his ashes where he had wanted to build a house. Are they going to say the hospital confused Ty with someone else who died, and no way to know they had mixed up the identities of the 2 men until Ty woke Up?? They have to explain that as too many fans will remember their spreading Ty's ashes.

July 19 I would Love to see Ty come back. AIam sure you will find a special way to do that. Maybe Ty was captured. And his twin brother took his place without others knowing it. Then he was the one who died. Then Ty is released and comes home. Just a thought.
