I have JMR Lunna and Unison Research Simply Italy. These are great speakers. Your set also sounds great and I hear that these speakers are also driven very well by a small tube amplifier. Beautiful sound from the tube and JMR.

JMR loudspeakers are so good. I have the original JMR Cantibile with only one woofer. I purchased them second hand last year. The previous owner regrets selling them!

Other things. I have some suggestions try connect R2R with Eversolo via I2S, or via coaxial. I have a Ifi Zen Stream, and for fun connected via Coaxialu this two device's, and belive me sounds it's mutch better, very analogue, without digital feelings. Stereo with excellent deep.
already sold the Gustard. anyway i have 1500 albums DSD and coaxial is only DSD DOP64. usb is NATIVE DSD: DSD64-DSD1024. i got AQUA LA SCALA and that is analogue like sound

Hi! Is the difference in sound quality so big between a6+r26 and r26 by itself, when it comes to streaming only? I cannot decide if I should go with the r26 or the new eversolo dmp-a8. Or maybe I can find this combo a6+r26 in the same budget, €2000. All I’m interested in is the tidal connect streaming, with the iphone app as the interface. Did you upgrade the source for the a6? Thank you!
no, the difference is not big as a streamer. if you do not have big files (DSD), it is ok, i used the gustard with audirvana. go with gustard. R2R dac is far better than chip based ones. at least for me

Since I’m used to run tidal from my iphone through tidal connect to my node x+fiio k9 pro ess for my headphones system, I need to see exactly the ease of doing the same with r26. @@anmic3590 Simply plug in the lightning cable and connect a short USB cable to the other end. Plug that into your DACs USB input
Please correct me if I am wrong but I thought gustard r26 can work as a streamer itself? Why you prefer Eversoor A6+R26 instead of just R26? @sorinirimia
A6 is a more capable streamer. bouth sound and control.dsd128 were problematic for Gustard as streamer. plus A6 can read ISO files. i have a lot of sacd ISO
Thanks for the prompt reply. Just to double check, currently none of the music platform (monthly fee for unlimited songs) offer DSD format music? If I am only listening to Spotify / Tidal, then the DSD part wont be an issue for me. How if both A6 and r26 are performing Tidal music, do you still find A6+r26 is better than pure A6 / pure r26? If I am to buy just one streamer+dac first, do you suggest A6 / R26? Many Thanks @@sorinirimia
@@yhakaede if you only listen to tidal i would go with Gustard r26. the differnece is bigger for Gustard as DAC than to A6 as streamer.

How did you connect the streamer to the dac? I saw comments that usb is really good, but plenty of people saying that using the network connection sounds best. Thanks!
via QED usb cable. via network cable too many cables , switch etc. these have an influence on sound

What is the difference in sound quality going direct from the Eversolo A6 (using its internal DAC) to the amplifier as compared to going through the R26 DAC
the differnece is given by the DAC sound signature . gustard is R2R with more natural sound, eversolo`s dac is a chip dac , sound ok but too digital.aslo the diference is price is quite big
sounds pretty great to me with the A6 only.
I use the sane combo of 6000CDT/R26....Best sound I have had in a dozen years- it even beats my $20k CD player.

hello. for your room they are more than enough. even zensor 1 can fill that room size

@@voxxxBG if you have the subwoofer already, it is simple. make a test! depends on the type of music you listen to and volume. generaly you will not need a sub
