Umberlee is like sea itself, cruel, harsh, unforgiving, yet hauntingly beautiful and immensely useful for those who know how to navigate it. Ask any sailor.
Even Tolkien’s sea god, thehough ostensibly good “delighted in violence.”
I think it's neat. Land is such a small part and we're lucky the ocean doesn't simply eat us.

When I found these ladies I legit listened to them for a whole hour. I was entranced
I also loved some of the high priestess lines as well "Know that we too shall gladly follow when our time has come" Maybe it's just me but there's something wonderfully peaceful about people finding meaning in death and accepting it.
I kinda wish the bard class could sing like this :(

I sat here in-game for honestly about ten to twenty minutes, just listening. Felt entranced. Beautiful, always loved sea-themed characters and aesthetic and everything... this did not let me down. Ditto to the commenter below, feel especially empowered to make a character in the ranks of the Water Queen's temples.
The temple of Umberlee and the child priestess Tenya is actually one of the parts of the original game that I remember the best. There was a couple of quests associated with her and she was memorable for an NPC since she was a child but also a priestess of the temple Umberlee in Baldur's Gate because she was some kind of prodigy.
When i first heard this in-game, i sat, i listened, i raised my phone's flashlight Definitely going to make an Umberlee dedicated character in tabletop after this
I wish Umberlee was a choice for clerics in the game.

A real shame the priestesses are so insanely bloodthirsty. I couldn't talk them down and wouldn't let them execute an innocent so I had to fight them. But man.. I loved their singing

I'm surprised you consider the dwarf innocent he was the ferry man to take everyone who was a political prisoner to what was essentially an underwater Gulag. Sure he feigns innocence but come on its not a common jail its a hidden black site.
