Hello everybody and welcome back to Lego Train Bros, my name is Robert and we are counting down the top 10 best LEGO trains of the 9v era. Please keep in mind this is my own opinion based mainly on looks and all references to current prices are based on used averages. The next train on this list, number 8 uses the basis of the "My Own Train" sets. Set number 4535
At number 7, set number 4512, the LEGO World City Cargo Train.
At number 6, we have set number 4564, the LEGO Trains Freight Rail Runner.
At number 5 we have set number 4551. The LEGO Trains Crocodile Locomotive.

Hello everybody and welcome to the top 10 lego trains. Please keep in mind this is an opinion based list, using metrics such as looks, playability and price. Without further ado, NUMBER 10 60337 LEGO City Express Passenger Train June 2022 - Now, Original Price $190/£140 Pros Easy to double up to make longer Interesting color Power functions Cons Bricks on top Only one half of the train No switc...
Hi, nice compilation of your 9V era favorites even if the order of my favorites looks a little different. I'm a big fan of the LEGO set 4559, which unfortunately didn't make it into your list and my number one will always be the Metroliner 😁 But what I really wanted to say is that I'm honored that you featured my Santa Fe Super Chief MOC as an example of your number one. Since the BNSF was your number three, I already realized that only the Super Chief would be your number one. But I was really surprised that you used my model and my video. It immediately put a grin on my face and made my day. Next I'm going to watch your vintage train video. I am also a big fan of the 12V trains and own almost all the trains from that era. Make more of these videos, thank you.
Best was the BNSF locomotive.. those new train sets are trash

For me #1 is 60198 #2 is 60052 #3 is 7939
I have the 60336, 60198, and 2 60197 trains I'm getting the 60052 train in like 6 months so IM SO EXCITED
IMHO neither 4561/4560 nor 4511 deserve their places, they're just goofy sets usable for parts only. 4563 should've been included, it's as close to classic 12v sets one can get without having 12v tech. Also 10183 definately earns a place; probably THE most valuable train set for MOCers. IMO 10133 and 10020 share 1st place though...
4,5v is in my opinion better. It needs more attention!
0:01 half asleep chris footage
It's a weird list without any 9V or 12V train, only Power Functions and Powered Up
Wait, when I was on the Lego website,I found that lego train 60198 is still available.
This list its a joke right? Creator trains>9v trains>12v trains>>>>>>>>>> actual city trains. The top 10: 1-Emerald night 2-Santa fe super chief 3-Metroliner 4-intercity 7740 5-maersk 6-bnsf 7-horizon express 8-Cocodrile creator 9-yellow cargo train 4564 10-Intercity 7745 (4 creator trains, 4 9v trains and 2 12v trains)
4563 should have really been in the top ten
Where is Lego 60051
Set number 4 and horizon express are my favourite trains. i wish i bought them before they got retired
you put the weird 2022 passenger train on the list and not the CROCODILE LOCOMOTIVE! the engine is simply magnificent how on earth do you prefer the 2022 passenger train?
Out of all these, I can imagine this train coming out on top. It is barely available anymore though, which you could also see as a con. I'm a little surprised there is no 9V electric in the list, I love this system as a design philosophy, requiring no batteries. The track itself is rather expensive, but it can be bought from excellent 3rd party companies as well. That said, having the current RC system, which seems to work very well is probably the method going forward for quite some time now. I'm not familiar myself with the 12V system, but I hear a lot of positive things from train enthusiasts about that too, but like the Maersk set (which is probably excellent because of the realism in the design) it is very hard to get.
I just bought #10, and I've enjoyed putting it together. Still on the fence about the Orient Express model, though.
I have a sleep, Chris’s cat
I picked 7745 a while back and it's easily one of my favourite LEGO trains that I own. Such a cool looking set! I remember seeing it for the first time in a LEGO catalogue with a 9V motor, around the time they were phasing out the 12v system.
When I was a youngster, I remember saving up for months to get The Lone Ranger train set, only for me to go to the store after it had been made unavailable and not being able to get one.
The pros and cons of this script are like the guy didn't wanna do his homework lol... No switch tracks included is a default copy paste and the helicopter is random>
No Metroliner? Not acceptable
I get the feeling you like switch tracks
crocodile locomotive gets no love anywhere.
You did not include 171, so I cannot take you seriously ;)
Never let bro cook again
my favorite train set that wasent in his top 10 is the tgv horizon express creator set, but i was only 5 in 2013 when it realesed, wasent that interested in the set at the time so sadly i missed out it.
Whatttt? Cargo train from the late 90s????? Most beautiful thing with the two little lights at low speed.... omg
No Metroliner! Pfft
What about the Santa Fe trains. Very good looking
I just got myself that numer 1 train for Christmas, it is my very first Lego train. Always wanted one but they were too expensive when I was a kid. As an adult when I could afford one I was on a fence because I don't have room to lay it out. Last year I said to myself screw it and buy one.
My favourite lego train is 7939 cargo train.
3677 has the red battery box and the red loco windows both of which are expensive and exclusive to that set. 3677, Maersk train and the emerald express are all quite rare and worthy to be on this list. The rest of the trains on this list are average at best plus most of them run on shitty AAA batteries. Where are the 9v and 12V trains? Santa Fe Super Chief and its wagons? Burlington Northern Santa Fe I know it is just a loco just like 7750 it is worth a lot more than some of the trains featured in this list.
Why did you miss set 7939? That was an awesome cargo train from 2010. Or 60051? Its a very sleek-looking train from 2014.
Number one is the only train I've got lol. Bought it with a dented box for like 50 bucks. Bags factory sealed and one broken switch track
Let’s see, you forgot the Horizon Express, Metroliner, and most importantly, The Santa Fe Super Chief. You get a thumbs down for failing those amazing engines and rolling stock. I expect better from you in the future.
No crocodile train?
This list was created by AI.
I assure you it wasn't, these are our favourites!
Can't be that hard as there are only like 10 trains lol
there is.. another
I only have one of those sets which happens to be your #1
If it would've been a top 8 Lego train channels, would I've been in it? :D
Correction, 12v trains are always number 1.
I was expecting metroliner at 1 and 3 is garbage from the lego dark era.
Still proud owner of the 4565 Freight and Crane Railway ... awesome set with great playability ...
nr1 knight, one of a kind thing looking nice, nr2 blue cargo train (for the rail chain loader), nr.3 red cargo train for loader, nr.4 green cargo...what annoys me in current sets is lack of sturctures that are moving and doing something in place of few small cars/plants/banks/ car-loaders. The city express trains right now lack the end part and you are forced to buy two sets to make it look finished, something in past never happened.
why did you not mention the santa fe lego set, tgv, or the bnsf set lego also sold?????
None of those trains can keep up with the trains of the grey 12V era, which means Lego isn't producing any really good trains since 1990
I got the emerald night for christmas one year. Not realizing how cool of a set it was, i took apart to build other BS for some reason. Now that im older and building with legos again, i wish i had never taken it apart.
Really? The express passenger train? WHY IS THAT PIECE OF HIDEOUS GARBAGE IN THE TOP 10?!?!?!?!?!
I’m going to grab number 1 before it’s price goes up, it’s going to be my first train set and I want it to be a good one!
