Sleeving Engine Block | Kia K2700 J2 |
Kia K2700 J2 engine overheated and caused damaged to the cylinders and they needed to be replaced. Started by removing the old sleeves which basically just fell out from all the heat damage, resurfaced the block to make sure its true again. Bored the block out to fit 0.50 mm over sized semi finished sleeves, rebored the newly fitted sleeves to accept the pistons and honed to the final size of 94.50 mm which is the standard bore size for this engine.

Aprilia Picasso 650 complete cylinder head service. The cylinder head was disassembled, bead blasted and washed the valves where in good shape and reused. Hyundai Accent head resurfacing

Cylinder head was brought in for resurfacing after the vehicle overheated and suffered a blown head gasket. The cylinder head had a slight cup to it which needed a few light passes too correct. Yamaha Motorcycle Reboring

This Yamaha 4 stroke cylinders piston seized and caused enough damage to the side wall of the cylinder that it needed to be rebored. The standard size is 66mm and it needs to be bored .40 (1mm) over size to clear all the damage. Rebuilding Fiat 780 tractor engine, the small ends had too much clearance and needed to be replaced. Installing new semi finished small end bushes that needs to be machined to the correct ID to fit the new gudgeon pins. The first cylinder of the block was damaged by the gudgeon pin coming loss from the conrod, it ended up scraping against the cylinder wall causing a deep groove. Had to bore out the old sleeve and replace it with a new semi finished sleeve that needed to be bored too size and honed. yeah nah, not sure it was the head that failed, i think your problem was probably in the lower end to start with or maybe lost oil pressure. send it to the machine shop mate, it'll buff out im sure.

This is the safest way without damaging the cylinder block. But it takes longer than removing it with long thin chisel.

I still have an old-school ridge cutter then we went home the s*** out of the tractor sleeves check the ring Gap and put rings in it
Man that cut looks better than 50 thou to get those pistons out.
So use ridge reamer
He has more tricks in his sleeves !
