Train videos through out central and northern Iowa. I'm based in Cedar Falls, Ia. so there are a lot of Iowa Northern and Canadian National trains. I like to travel south to the old CNW main line and catch Union Pacific action too.

05/18/2024 Galena, IL. Caught the end of this west bound priority train as it snaked along the scenic Mississippi! 05/19/2024 Galena, IL. Got up very early to catch this East bound grain train. This is a pretty remote spot South of Galena and is a little tricky with the drone. Made some new friends recently and this view of the west bound stack train was from Their porch! The drone made for a great view of what appeared to be a East bound sand train. The road at this location is very close to the tracks as you can see from my view of this East bound priority train!

05/18/2024 Union, IL. Took a road trip to the IRM for CNW days!. I was pleasantly surprised to see the UP 1995 had made an appearance. Plenty of classic locomotive power to be seen along with the CNWHS archives building. Thought I'd throw in a little side action of my Brother doing a burnout in the driveway. That's one very clean WS6!

05/12/2024 Montour, Ia. Made the best of a mowing day in Montour! This West bound sand/ empty coal met a massive east bound double coal train just outside of town. A West bound stack/autorack had some great speed as it passed. Ended my visit with a nice manifest train under the drone!

05/05/2024 Montour, Ia. Found a UP crew hard at it when I arrived in Montour on this Sunday! The crew was assembling a track panel on site for a near by river bridge. 04/21/2024 Dubuque, Ia. The CN M338 has been waiting for quite awhile at the swing bridge as it waits for multiple BNSF trains to clear. This video spot was right next to the Shot Tower which has an interesting history. The BNSF had 3 trains pass before the CN got the go ahead. A lone regulator seemed out of place as the drone gave chase through town. Cedar Falls, Ia. The CN L571 had NS power as it headed over the Cedar River bridge and along the dam. BNSF on River tends to be really slow between 9 AM and about 3 PM

Couple theories on the ski lift, #1, they forgot to turn it off at the end of ski season, #2, vandals broke into the control room and turned it on for a prank. Either way, the electric bill will be astronomical 😤😵😨😱❗

You obtained some good drone videos of BNSF trains along the Mississippi River in and around Galena, Ilinois on 19 May 2024, Red! Am I correct in saying that your friends have a house in the Glena Territory near Galena, Illinois? I remember all the advertisements that the Galena Territory people placed in the Chicago media about thirty years ago about how the Galena Territory was a great place to spend a vacation and/or purchase property.

Galena is a very Nice Tourist Area and the Drive up to it is Narrow and Steep so I’m sure the Tour Buses are Careful. Nice Views and they have a Meeting Lodge. 👍

The Chirping Birds were a dead giveaway on the early morning hours since that’s when they get the Fat Worms and you get the Great Views with your Drone. Thx! 👍

I don't doubt that! I've overheard on the scanner about dirty loco toilets.
I like when you went over with drone to see the special platform cars you could see another crossing installed laying on the ground near the bushes.

L570 goes to Waterloo, Ia. Went through Kearney years ago. Triple track action. I'd like to ride there at some point this summer too. Nebraska just lifted their helmet law recently.

I’ve seen those hopper coal trains in Duluth,we even drove past some on the way to our hotel there,saw a picture of steam being the team hauling some of the cars. I also went on a train ride on the SOO engine past the depot and I explored as saw some engines in the depot too I believe. I was also on the dome passenger car. It was fun there at Duluth.
Definitely a great railfan spot. A bit on the chilly side!
