This is why i like my Helix. I can split my signal chain several different ways. For bass i do a 200 hz frequency split with a boctaver on the low frequencies and reverb and such for highs. It transforms the sound.

I was looking to gnarl up my Rickenbacker, so I used your preset pretty much as is but with a tad more low end on the last EQ and on the Ric, bass and treble volumes up full, bass and treble tones on low, but then ease up the bass tone to find that treble bite. Works a treat!

Damn fine vid. Yeah even back in the 90's who could afford new strings every night, right? Back in the 80' when he was playing Steinberger or Wal he played LA Bella full rounds. I learned that boiling them like spaghetti renewed that new sound.( it'd the dirt & sweat between the windings that make them dull). That's my $1,000 tip.

Good player, good content for the most part. What a shame, that he is ‘shaving’ beats from the phrases, and does not appear to acknowledge as so. While its great to inform the public, as he has done; to do this all correctly, he either needs to improve his internal time clock, or reshoot with a far better demo - of internal time clock. Phrases don’t just ‘play through’ as you feel it, each note has a value: and this player is missing and truncating notes and phrase parts. Judging by the number of likes, the general public can’t play properly either. Sad.

Do you do online bass lessons?

Doing quite a similar thing. My dod Meatbox has a Splitter, just needs a special cable. The sub is going in to an extra channel to the FOH. (It’s also my backup clean channel if something goes wrong.) the clean out is going to a different pedals, including the oc2 and a fuzz. So the front of house guy has complete control over the sub frequencys. Great video! Btw: I liked the oc3 with the zvex fuzz a lot!
