I'll bet there's *a lot* of flooding upstream because that river is susceptible to being plugged up with ice during the winter!

The streets look pretty clean there.

There doesn't appear to be any really steep hills there. It's pretty hilly here in suburban Seattle and it's a real *bummer* when snow accumulates to more than 3-4 inches.

The apartment building on the right at @3:16, with the stairs up to a landing, and then more stairs up to the flat roof, is where I lived in '96. I worked at the Domino's Pizza which was just across the tracks, exactly where the Papa John's store is now. (Domino's later moved down the road.) The gas station between them was just a small shack then, but it has really expanded. The apt building, and the one S of it in the video, have been removed. A new office building is going up on that block.

I love Sioux Falls. I lived in Sioux Falls for two years but the snow storms forced me to move to Texas.

Wow! Interesting to see the changes just 6 years makes! & to be clear, it is now called 'Uptown' rather than 'Downtown'! Meh! Welcome to 'Urban Gentrification"; {AKA tearing down beautiful historic buildings and/or converting them to WAYYYYYYYY over priced 'loft' living! }. As for those who think of this as 'empty' or 'slow' or a 'small city', this video doesn't really do it justice! Take a cruise down Louise Avenue/W. 41st street & you will see a WHOLE different world! And no, as a lifetime resident, not for the better! Peace all!
