your old camera is still alright - SONY A7R III in 2023
zhlédnutí 378Před rokem

While new camera releases often come with improved features and technology, the Sony A7R III remains a formidable camera in 2023. Its high-resolution sensor, impressive dynamic range, and excellent low-light performance continue to deliver exceptional ima...

I've been using the Sony a7 IV for many months now, used it for a lot of documentary work. Recently, I had a break from client work, I wanted to test it in a fiction run & gun environment... coupled with 3 APS-C lenses and natural light. Loved the result. let's connect: aminehamouda89

Great video and info Amine!
Thank you Cody! Glad you've enjoyed it :)
...did you always used a mist filer?
Depending on the situation, either mist filter or a vintage lens.
Amine, I have only recently discovered your channel, and am absolutely loving every video. Regards and deepest gratitude from an Egyptian/Australian photographer and film maker. Upwards and onwards.
Thank you so much ! I appreciate it :)
Thank you for sharing your knowledge! That was very interesting and useful.

Beautiful video my friend... Keep up the good work
Thank you 🙏
Great video. I still use an x-t1 from 10 years ago. It's definitely good enough for photos.
Exactly ! Thank you for watching :)
you will have to put a tape over the top sensor, sensor of proximity i think it is, that triggers the flip over screen
Thank you! Will give that a go ! Appreciate it :)
great work, good eye - all the best for you!
Thank you 🙏 likewise :)
Hi can i ask your opinion? Xe-4 27mm f2.8 pancake lens vs X100V Which one do you prefer ?
X100v : the silent shutter /viewfinder / camera body .. make it the better choice. (Also, it has an F2 lens). But if it’s not available or out of reach, the XE4 would be a good alternative (especially if you want to do video, as it records for a longer time 30min vs 10 min of the X100v)
@@AmineHamouda thank youu ❤️
You're cute ❤🏳️🌈
Solid vid
Thanks 🙏
New subscriber right here. Great work
Thank you 🙏
Very nice Video with a great statement! To much or always new gear stop you out.
Thank you 🙏
Awesome photography dude! I have a X-T3 and I cannot wait to take it with me on the road!
Thank you 🙏 ! Enjoy your trip :)
I agree with you. I’ve the XT4 and it’s a great camera. It’s the marketing people who keep creating gas. I sold my x100v as I didn’t like it that much but I’m still tempted by the x100vi. That’s the marketing people again lol
Absolutely. Putting marketing aside. If a camera will suit your needs and the budget is reasonable for your funds, go for it! Enjoy it and use the heck out of it :) cheers 👋
Looking forward to the next video Amine. I recently got out of the fuji ecosystem as it's hard to be surrounded by the culture of those shooting them with the whole "keeping up with the joneses" attitude of constant upgrades. That said, I follow your channel for a lot more than what gear you shoot. You have a very specific niche that isn't covered much regarding "documentary projects" so keep up the great work!
Thank you Cody! Exactly... I am tired of the gear convos tbh... the next video will be uploaded this week:: on gaining access for doc stories. Cheers :)
Great! Please keep up with this kind of really interesting content. Enough gear-related ramblings on CZcams already.
Thank you 🙏
absolutely love the video! Would you mind sharing your Color chrome settings for the x100v? I would be very grateful
sure, it is all written on this blog I wrote : www.aminehamouda.art/blog/untitled-post3

I love your work 😀
Thank you 🙏 this makes my day :)
Best sentence I've heard in a CZcams video for a long time. "Please remember why you got in to photography." 🙏
Really great video, thanks for the great summary. I'd love to see more 🙏🙂
Thank you 🙏 I appreciate your comment :)
"Promosm" 😻
That’s great. Thank you. It’s really good to see a thoughtful film about documentary work. More on this topic is always welcome.
Thank you for watching

Thank you Cody :)
Great shots!
Thank you 🙏
Great video and fantastic pictures. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you for watching :)
awesome photos!
Thank you 🙏
Amazing work. Random question how did you upload to those aspect ratios? Is it 21:9?
Thank you. I sometimes set my video project timeline to 5120x2160 which gives a 2:35:1 aspect ratio.
@@AmineHamouda very cool. And CZcams let’s it play like that, I did not know that was possible. I have seen 4:3 videos and dork 1:1 but never like yours. Keep up the great work.
@@BretKenworthy a lot of people are using it on this platform.. it’s interesting to try different aspect ratio for different videos. Thanks 🙏
Bro...when i look at your images, I suddenly felt a sense of connection and nostalgia...i remember the days when i opened my uncles photobook/history book of old dubai...your picture reminded me of ronald codrai's work...do check him out....peace ✌️

Thank you very much
After having seen probably more than 100 videos about Fujifilm, your content is very refreshing and unique 😊 Instant follow! Would you mind sharing your Classic chrome settings? Thank you!
Thank you Micheal for your comment, my classic chrome settings are forever changing (depending on the scene) but my favourite is: strong & large Grain + strong color chrome and fx blue + DR400 iso fixed at 640 + tone curve H -2 S -1 + +2 color and +2 sharpness 0 clarity (it makes the camera slow), 0 NR (WB changes depending on the scene and sometimes I set it on auto. no raw only JPG. thank you for the follow I really appreciate it :)
