Provo Falls on Mirror Lake Highway near Kamas, UT
I filmed Provo Falls, outside of Kamas UT, with my DJI Mini 2, which I always carry with my on my 2020 BMW K1600 GT. I've captured some amazing stuff with it!

BMW K1600 cooling issue solved! We install a fender extension to keep debris out of the radiator.
zhlédnutí 2,9KPřed rokem
All BMW K models including K1600, K1300 and K1200 bikes from 2005 up suffer from overheating issues as the bikes gain miles. The radiator gets clogged from road debris that is kicked up by the front tire. We address this issue by adding an extender to the back of the front fender. 00:00 Introduction 00:22 Removal 01:03 Clean and prep

I uploaded this again, in higher resolution this time. We ride our BMW K1600 GT on Scenic Byway 12 in Southern Utah which is one of our favorite stretches of road in the entire country. We then follow Burr Trail which splits off near Boulder, Utah. The scenery is spectacular and on this trip we had our new DJI Mini 2. I still can't believe the footage that this thing is capable of! Our 2020 BMW K1600 GT was made for roads like Utah's Scenic Byway 12. We check out this amazing road from the air, follow some Harleys and then rip the road ourselves, including a top speed run. What a fun trip! You gotta try this... Wintergaten's 'Marble Machine' used under license.

I finally got a chance to see how fast our Darkside 2020 BMW K1600 GT was with the new Brentune (BT-Moto.com) ECU flash. They do BMW, Ducati, KTM, Triumph and more. Wow, does this thing pull! We are running a 205/50-17 BF Goodrich Comp 2 AS at 40 psi. Rock solid all the way up!

Many BMWs, from X5 to X6 to 5 series, 6 series and 7 series cars are available with a self-leveling suspension. This is how you replace the air bags on those cars.

We remove and repair the air suspension pump in our 2017 BMW X5. The same system is used across pretty much any BMW with self leveling from the early 2000s on up.
BMW K1600 GT rider gets SHOCKED by a Harley LiveWire! My K1600 rocks. How good can this bike be?
zhlédnutí 563Před rokem
The Harley LiveWire has intrigued us for a long time, and we finally get to ride one courtesy of Timpanogos Harley Davidson and the factory demo event. I'm pretty skeptical of anything from Harley. I mean, how good could it be? I already own the bike of my dreams, a 2020 BMW K1600 GT. Can anything Harley makes convince me to switch? #livewire #electric bike #k1600gt

This was filmed on my BMW K1600 GT on my Coast-to- Coast ride for the Alzheimer's Association back in 2017. We rode 9300 miles in 17 days of riding time. This was one of the best days of the entire trip! Unfortunately I had a technical issue with my front mounted GoPro, but the Sena Prism Wifi saved the day. Too bad the quality is only mediocre. But better than nothing!

Our BMW K1600 GT goes Roll Racing at Utah Motorsports Campus - and it's a BLAST!

I've never taken my new 2020 BMW K1600 GT to any racetrack, but today we head to Utah Motorsports Campus in Utah for their Roll Racing series. Any BMW would be fun, but a fast one is better, lol. It is drag racing, but from 40 mph, and the race is only 1000 ft. Speeds are kept reasonable for safety reasons, but it is still super fun!

RIP Jeff ..❤your videos🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼❤️🪶
No video on removing air distribution tube in either end of part one (which ends with pointing air tube out) and part two which begins with tube out and broken in the process. Removing air tube seems like it is straight forward but removing it without breaking it is a bitch. Trying heat now as suggested by temciuc
Painting like that is foolish, lazy and will ruin the bike and everything else in that room that isn't covered. This video is some of the worst advice i've seen!
Everything in that room, including all of the exposed chrome parts on the bike are going to be covered in black paint aerosol particles! DO NOT DO THIS!!!
Awesome content big help.
The worst part is you need an expensive special adapter to lower the foot brake.
Thank you for the video where are you located yesterday had same issue 2015X5 mechanic asking $2000 do you think t is reasonable price
I bought some pads from them...look different..only two pads per side...not 3 like yours...they are semi -metallic....thought I ordered organic...but ..oh well
Had my R1200R Sport new in 2015, 50,000 miles ago. For a solo rider it's better than a GS 90% of the time, the GS is slightly more roomy for a pillion (assuming they get on over those panniers! The GS has better wind protection for motorway work and the suspension is better for bumpy British B roads, but otherwise the R is the GS's equal. It's far easier to move around and nip about on, and in fact it has was tuned for more low and midrange than a GS and feels more lively.
thanks a ton! I don't have an impact driver to take off the wheel, but was still able to replace my pads just by taking off the muffler on the right side! I also thought I had lost the little cotter pin hole, but by watching your video, I realized I was looking for it on the wrong side of the brake pad hole! Your videos are always so helpful!
What is up with the car tire on that bike? Is it even safe on the twisties ?
Question I am thinking of going dark side on my r1200gs especially since it will never see off road but my question is it fits a 170/60/17 what would be the equivalent in a car tire.. I’m not looking for a thicker tire but something that is just as narrow…any help would be appreciated
My 2011 model remains the best bike Ive owned over the past 50 years. EVery time I called in to the dealer for service they’d lend me the next model in hope! I’d tell them they should never have sold me my bike as nothing they’d offer me subsequently can better it😂
I bought a 2013 bmw r1200gs thinking about running a car tire on it what size would u recommend? The rear tire is a 170/60/17 what would be the equivalent in a car tire?
O owned a beautiful blue 2016 R1200RS same bike but full fairings But get a bit dissapointed whit the huge amount of front squat when hard braking, So i learned that i need a 2011 R1200R because of the telelever so i finally found one whit less than 20k on the clock ....
That landscape with the boxer! 🥰
I subscribed. Mine have an issue too but this is the real pads mileage worn. I recently been stopping in a rush several times avoiding to hit the idiots taking over my way is just because they were blind or not being able to see the cars coming from the rear window… I actually had a warn that my mileage is 500 then it decreased to 50 and suddenly bacame 0 when this brake alarm show up
Also after several hard stops from 60 to 0 when I was trying to speed up and almost barely hit the car but brakes worked to avoid it I noticed that my steering wheel started turning right when I press the brake pedal… I suspect I could slightly worn a brake disc itself. Gotta check will see Monday I will check in the service
Love the comparison between " wife and current girlfriend". Very true and very funny.
BMW recommends changing plugs every 19000 miles. Don't believe them. Every 50000 is okay
I have 133,000 on my bike and thought I would change plugs when the engine sounded a bit off- and that just happened today. Will take apart with next couple of weeks with a bit of fear in my heart...
That looks like a really nice bike. I rode my R6 back from Alaska to Michigan and wanted to stop around the first 15min 😅
Tape alone will not hold it in place. Buy overpriced Wunderlich extender. You still need to clean/flush radiator once every year or two. Do not flush radiator in kitchen. Amazing BMW design flaw.
Wow, very informative! Thanks
Hi, just saw your video. Just bought a 2012 K1600 GT which needs both tires, rear shock and few other things. So my concern would be about the stiffness of the sidewalls. On a MC tire, the side walls are very stiff which a car tire is not that stiff. So how will that effect the riding long term. Short term is not an issue. What do you think?? And the 185 sized car tire does not seem to be available except from overseas?? And where do you get that spacer ?? Thanks.
Were did you buy that spacers and lug
Very informative video. 🎉
Your link to Amazon is not working. Do you have a part number??
Why sound system on bikes? It's built into the helmet now!
What an epic ride
I ve Just bought a r1250r. What do think about it? Great video
Is the pulley cover needed?
Just picked up my RS today. Premium edition The answer to the question is - BECAUSE THE GAS TANK IS NOT BIG ENOUGH! Otherwise, a wonderful machine
I tried the dark side for a while but decided to try running a touring tire instead and I have no plans on going to the dark side again. Good luck to those of those who choose the dark side.
Did I see a car tire on GRT6?
What a great video. You answered all the questions I had. I know what I want - thanks!!
I have a GL 1500 and definitely when the tire it has now wears out I will go to the dark side.
Great vid👍 Really enjoyed it and looking at one now. Thank you.
What ever be came of this project? Would love an update
I know this is an old video, but thought I’d chime in anyway. I had a ‘72 MGB that would shut off when I would go on trips. Mine was a vapor locked fuel pump. Would let it cool off then tap it with the butt of a screwdriver. Always did the trick. Sometimes would take 15 minutes to cool off, sometimes longer. I miss that car & am looking to get back into one.
Thanks for the video, other than opening up the exhaust and the k&n air filter have you done any other power modifications to get those numbers? I'm also wondering if a bren tune would increase the power any on the older bike? Just purchased a 2013 GT with 16,000 mi so I'm looking forward to tinkering with it
I've had a 2015 GTL for a year now and took it from the UK, through France, to Switzerland and Italy. I was thinking of getting rid for a ADV bike (probably the Pan America) but watching your video has reminded me how capable this bike is. Perhaps one more season.......
Is a awesome bike! However, i can never find a windshield that cut the horrible noise and buffeting, and I hate looking tru the windshield!
Why wouldn’t you show that actual removal and replacement?? So dumb
Tried it on my Gold Wing. Wiped out low sided in a corner. Not not for me but you do you
Oh sure you did. _Sure_ you did! 😂😂😂

Hay ! Thanks for this video Jay ! Pascal France.
awesome job! a man could learn a thing or 2 from your videos :D
so you actually disconected the speakers on the bike?
man! now i could do that on my own :D but there are some things that are a real pain in the ass, but with videos like yours anyone could do it :D Keep up the good work with those service videos :D
does the 2012 have a quickshifter? i'm pretty sure the 2020 has it, and i dont really understand missing the 2nd gear on 2020 model and not missing it on the 2012 model :D or how was that even possible... i'm a bit confused :D
I'm 62 250, but all keep telling me get the rt1250 over this...input?? Thanks❤
