Thank you! Thank you!

THE EARLIEST CHRISTIANS DID *NOT* BELIEVE JESUS DIED FOR THEIR SINS "Substitutionary (or Vicarious) Penal Atonement" is the fancy theological term to describe a belief that arose late in the First Century CE after the Jews lost the First Jewish-Roman War (66-73/74 CE), and Gentiles took over the leadership of the Church. Before that, the Jews who believed Jesus was the Expected Messiah, concluded Jesus' death and resurrection was just God's way of convincing all the Jews HE was the Messiah (read Acts 2:32-36) who would get rid of the Romans and set up a new, independent, theocratic, Jewish nation. However, when that didn't happen, and the leadership of the Church switched to non-Jews, many of them Roman citizens, the whole thing about Jesus dying and getting raised from the dead so the Jews would get behind his rebellion against Rome and, eventually, replacing it...didn't sound so appealing! The next thing ya know, they began re-thinking the purpose of Jesus' death and, with the help of some of the Apostle Paul's metaphors, began to think Jesus' death was a sacrifice to pay God for our sins! Trouble is, this idea completely contradicts what Jesus taught! He made it very clear that God just forgives sins, period! He taught that God has no need to get even (which is all "getting justice" means) or to make people suffer in any way as punishment. On the contrary, Jesus said God only returns good for evil, love for hate and forgiveness for sins (Matthew 5:38-45)! How crazy it is to think God is incapable of just forgiving sins because He chooses to! And how nutty it is to think a "payment" for sins can result in "forgiveness"! By definition, forgiveness means a payment is no longer required! Why should it matter?? God sent His Son,His name was Jesus,He came to love, heal and forgive,His job was to fulfill The Father's will !!! He was, and is The WORD OF GOD,HE DOESNT NEED TO WRITE THE WORD,He is the Word!!!! Scripture was given to men to teach us the way to God!!! This Holy Word is precious to every human being,His name is Jesus, and God gave the Bible thru His Holy Spirit to the prophets who could be trusted to write it down with the pen of a ready writer as they were held under His anointing by the Holy Spirit of God!!! This word will forever stand in the courts of Heaven!!! This word has been trampled on,disregarded, laughed at,ridiculed, blasphemed, cursed, blasphemed thrown away, rejected, and abused,BUT ----- ITS STILL STANDING TODAY,NOW,AND FOREVER!!!! Pick it up,read it,you will Never be the same

I think a big reason is simple, say I wrote a book about how I was God and did a whole bunch of miracles, no one would believe me. But if you have eyewitness' saying they saw it themselves and even while being tortured still swearing he rose from the dead. That makes it more believable.

For example, If you did the same you would know Islam is fake and that Muhammed was just another human being preaching BS to control people. He even went as far as to say Gabriel (A Jewish create Angel) gave him the Quran and that Jesus was a prophet when he may have not even existed. Jesus did the same thing quoting Moses when we know Moses didnt exist. You wont ever think about this because you dont care about what the truth is. Muhamad literally stole things from other religions and you say its him updating things lol. I could do the same thing but make it better and more accurate because I have actual knowledge that is easily found online. Imagine a human being having more knowledge on something then someone claiming to talk to God. The Quran teaches flat earth for example and you can tell because of Ramadan. @@kaiju1412 If a prophet, or one who foretells by dreams, appears among you and announces to you a sign or wonder, and if the sign or wonder spoken of takes place, and the prophet says, “Let us follow other gods” (gods you have not known) “and let us worship them,” you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The Lord your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul. Deuteronomy 13:1-3 Jesus didn't ask anyone to serve another God, he came to earth to talk about the laws, their meanings and to correct our attitudes towards God, then he died on the cross to die for what we have done wrong and proved he did it by resurrecting and showing himself to 500 eye witnesses. The reason why we find Islam to be contradicting is because it says something along the lines of "you people of the book, keep following it" which makes no sense bc we serve a different God so we can't be justified by Islam if it's a different deity.

Because Jesus and His interpretation is the key to and fulfillment of the Tanakh, it behooves is as Christians to study our OT in order the see and celebrate just what it is He is fulfilling and interpreting. The Good News of the NT is really really really good news when one considers the constant human failings outlined in the OT. The OT is there to convince us that we even need a Savior/Messiah/Christ at all. I, for one, am convinced! The the first arrival of the Christ-and the NT that records His explanation of His own life as foreshadowed in the Tanakh-is the biggest breath of fresh air in human history!

Indeed, people seem to have a need for fiction, but that doesn't mean the fiction you prefer is actual real. So, keep your biblical narrative, I don't care how much it makes sense to you, for me it is too outdated to accept a meta-narrative that involves animal and/or human sacrifices. Thus I would argue we should build beeter meta-narratives that actually address the modern (and pot-modern) needs of people.

(Isaiah 58:13-14) and shabbat will be instituted on the new earth: (see isaiah 66:22-23) may YHVH bless you ministry, brother.
