Not a good example. Showing a lack of consideration just because you can do something does not mean that you should. Being a voyeur or peeping Tom a good example ...no! The right is not a pass to do something against others.
Your completely missing the point… the whole reason for doing this is to show photography is allowed & is a right irrespective of what any private business wants! He was being respectful & even explaining what he was doing!

David, if you are there to teach your niece the law - you are partly correct but not entirely 1) you didn’t have any lawful business with the landowner so had no reason to enter their property 2) the absence of a gate or an open gate does not mean you can enter as per S33, you need lawful business or for the land to be a right of way. Neither applied. 3) it might not be illegal for you to film them against their will on their own property but it IS unethical. Teach your niece that. Teach her only desperate people with no real interest in photography film people without their consent and publish that film. Teach her that’s not actually photography. That is just being rude for money. Best wishes to her.

Please remember that this guy needs your permission to video on YOUR property. If you don't give permission, then he is infringing your rights. In particular he is not entitled to film through the windows of this office. What he is doing here IS NOT public photography, he is on private property. His arrogance is outstanding.

@@JM-ym8mm I simply went onto site to let them now what I would be doing out off courtesy. So if they see a man with a camera they no what I’m doing. Also I had my neice with me who has intrest in becoming a photographer so I was teaching her laws etc etc.
@@AuditingTheMatrix Fair enough I guess. My brother in law has always been into model planes and his son has recently started learning photography. He's bought his first camera last year! My only concern would be if your niece tried to replicate this when she was out on her own and meeting a less reasonable property owner. It's good to know your rights but sadly those don't help you much against violent lunatics. At least not in the moment. You guys have fun but stay safe :) Crazy world we live in these days.
@@JM-ym8mm yeah she won’t be goin out on her own yet. She’s only 11. So I’m trying to give her some experience and help her learn the law. Set her on the right path . Kind off like work experience. And it’s something she seems to enjoy. Has a great eye for it. So yeah I hope can help her build a career in photography 💯

@@AuditingTheMatrix Yeah, The one I went to was Gillingham, a m8 and neighbour of mine was moving to Newcastle and used their service to store his stuff in, as I helped him do the moving, when I seen the huge super bright orange building I thought man I am bringing the drone on the next run up here. :)

I agree that the behaviour of some of the staff is unprofessional and reflects poorly on the company, but at the end of the day, it is not a public place. You are trespassing. You state you are allowed to if the gate is open. Actually, you aren't. If some random person (probably masked) turns up and starts walking round a private industrial site filming, and sticking his camera in the windows, you shouldn't be surprised if it causes concern and you're challenged. Either you are being disingenuous or you are sorely lacking in common sense. It's clear that you were not just 'looking for reception'. It's a pretty pointless video really, except that it's clearly intended to generate attention for you and your channel. And this is not a 'hate' or 'troll' comment. It's just a cold, honest assessment of what you're up to. You also taunt them by telling them you are putting their faces on CZcams and other social media. Are you registered as a data controller? Are you sure you know what you're doing here? CZcams really need to step in and stop this activity. You are trespassing (a civil wrong) and arguably committing criminal offences - aggravated trespass and a public order offence. Apart from that, it's unfair on the people caught in the video, who are just blameless innocent people that you are bothering at work. You have not blurred out their faces, which I am pretty sure puts you in breach of data protection laws. Yes, to repeat, the response of some of them is unprofessional, but you brought this nonsense to them, with respect. I say all this with due kindness and respect. Please find something more constructive to do with your time. There are other ways to make money on social media that don't involve infringing the rights and dignity of other people.

Your own recording clearly shows that you were not looking for reception. What you were looking for is drama and confrontation for your channel. I know it's not your first audit, and you are going down a bad road and I urge you to stop. Auditing harms people and undermines liberties and rights of photographers. And are you registered as a data controller with the ICO? You do realise that you are required by law to do so? I'm now waiting for you to delete my comments and block me like all the other auditors do.

I know that getting things right can be boring, and none of us get it right all the time - I make mistakes as well - but if you're going to go round criticising and judging people in the way that you do, then don't you think you need to get the law right? (Edited, after YT deleted my reply to your response below!) I spoke with ICO, and was informed that GDPR & DPA ONLY applies to businesses & organisations, not private individuals. As such, and irrespective of the social media account(s) name(s), these videos are simply Freedom of expression. No further need to dress them up as Artistic, Public Interest, or the like. Thank you for giving me the impetus to clarify this Journalism aspect.
