strange movement issues in default ezquake
zhlédnutí 218Před 5 lety
Getting hung on walls and overall movement has always felt slower than nquake. especially when circle/strafe jumping or swiveling to walk faster. seems a lot of strafe jumps are almost harder in default ezquake. none of the physics commands were changed other than the one mentioned to fix the wall clipping

I'd of shit myself 💩
Is that a thompson? Or penn yan?
The captain is responsible for all people on his boat. Was probably a charter boat. Lucky he didn’t have boat problems on the way in
I wonder why they didn't stay put or idle into the waves and wait it out? I'd be terrified surfing the waves like that. One wave over the transom and its over!
Yeah, all because you did pay attention to the weather around you you waited too long. I thought you could get a face before that stuff would sneak up on you. It’s like you should know better second of all why are you not listening to your VHF radio with the weather channel so you can hear emergencies, so you can get out of there to the lake. There was five years old. My father never been caught in a bad situation because we paid attention.
Worst cameraman of all time good lord
Storm? I've seen bigger storms on Golden pond ....
what a bunch of assholes when cap says get the lines in do it fast dummies
No common sense award goes to the captain of this vessel.
Fire the cameraman.
I’ve been out on Lake Erie in a storm and it was scary AF! 4-6 foot waves, 2 tornadic waterspouts and about 2 hours of going into the storm to make land. Not fun!! Storms can blow up fast on Erie.
FAFO ⚡️⚡️💨
lots of weight on board for stability.
Dont mess with mother nature, she'll kick your butt. too slow to react in this video.
The squalls over Lake Erie can sound like a bombing run that never seems to end.
That's how you strand yourself with a planar line.
I will say that’s a gorgeous boat
Whoever filmed this,.. you SUCK!
Holy crap !!!! 👀 This Captain ROCKS !!! 👍 That took some serious knowledge and skill !!! ❤
My dad had a 25 foot Thompson with a flybridge, we fish off the coast of Gloucester mass, we got caught in a storm bad once, I wish my dad had the safety knowledge of today back then, was probably 2010. We never sent any radio contact to coast guard or anything like that. We made it 43 miles in. The next weekend he sold the Thompson and bought a Grady white lol. Never again did we go out in weather that was less than perfect.
Where's part 3??
Ive been out on lake erie i horrible pop up thunderstorms. It can get bad in literally 5 minutes. You can't out run them sometimes. Seen 8 foot waves out there, with 30 ft of visibility. Lighting was everywhere. When I got in the land in areas was torn up by a straight line wind event. Also been out there in the spring when fog rolled in and zero visibility. Glad I knew the area and glad I had my Lowrance.
Why would you bother filming and uploading it if half way through your recording the ceiling of the boat.
White guy: “I’d rather be swimming in closer to shore” Black guy: “I’d rather not be swimming at all” Gotta love stereotypes😂
Camera man driving me nuts just showing the roof
A good Captain like myself would have seen this coming and got out of there before it got bad. Also, never go out into big water with a Captain that uses fish symbols on their fish finder.... Bad sign
HAVE TO KEEP EARS ON THOSE RADIOS FOR STORM REPORTS when storm is way off its time to depart, they will overtake you very quicky. I got caught on ontario ,thought the storm was miles away , well when it got too close for comfort, started taking rods in, that took 20 minutes and was too late. Scared as hell but made it , if i knew better i would have cut the lines now i hear one on radio im gone
Grandpa was a Ontario smuggler during prohibition who made his Rochester to Canada runs in rough winter weather when the USCG avoided Ontario. He used a 50' motorsailor. In sum, reefed sails + engine always make for a safer journey in rough weather.
Matter of fact the captain of the coast guard cutter that eventually went out searching for the Fitz along with the Anderson and the Ford said the did a 50° list out there he was a veteran of the coast guard for years. In a statement made days following he's been on 3 oceans that storm that took the Fitz down was worse than any ocean storm he was ever in during the storm locks at the soo had wind gusts up to 95 mph during that event don't ever think the great lakes can't get violent!!!
i sat at the beach every night i grew up at crystal beach on lake eerie and i sat there to listen to the water at night. Everyday by myself. But sometimes it is scary af. I think there is a spirit in the water.
Learn how to operate a camera
...wow, that was stupid. you had plenty of time. You are dumb lucky,
I was in a similar storm in Norway at sea! No fun! My main engine failed so I used a 15 hp kicker to get to the marina! I drove 5 miles in 1.5 hours!!! Thank God I survived!🥶
😂 Yall don't want any part of Erie if that shook you up.
Great example of what NOT to do. 1. Fiddle around w fishing lines while turtle neck clouds are coming in. 2. Sit around smoking instead of putting on life jackets.
You fools, throw those rods in the water and get the hell outta there
When the whind blows from the west tis the best. When the whind blows from the south it puts the bait in the fishes mouth. When it blows from the east tis Niether fit for man nor beast. When it blows from the north Kate bar ye door.
Did the storm thing on Erie 1980 not good days guys pulled boats out of the water half on the trailer what a bunch of crap
Shallow lake and shit comes in fast. Ontario is worse for fast violent storms.
Been through it only in a sailboat. Thankful for that lead keel.
I remember having a good time walleyes and out of nowhere a storm came out of the west that was no bullshit a line of black came on us
Its like youve never been on a boat in mean seas AND ever operated a camera. That was ROUGH. Glad you made it
It didn’t appear that anyone on this boat was particularly experienced on the water. That storm appeared to be very nasty. Why wasn’t anyone watching the weather before it came up. They were lucky, small boat, inexperienced crew with no plan and poor nav skills.
Been in Erie in this type of situation in an 18 foot StarCraft boat. I saw it coming and immediately put on my life jacket. While the captain and other guy thought I was being unreasonable. 10 mins later the 3 to 4 footers came and water spouts everywhere. Now they won’t even think about going out when it’s going to rain. This lake will kill you, period.
😂😂😂😂😂😂🤌👶👶
I was in a storm like that once and then we had to outrun a water spout . It was actually really cool to see we were coming from Canada Back to Erie
Bunch of sissies I was in the Delaware River in a smaller boat with the Bell just ringing
I took a shit in rougher conditions than that.
Ive also taken a shit in rougher conditions than that on a bucket and had a Rouge wave send me down the deck with an overturned bucket of crapp chasing me across the deck. Things sorta got shitty.
Been there in that same lake. My old man sunk a 32 footer in that lake in a storm back in the 70’s. Lake Erie can get ugly quick.
Not. Anti. Sinking g techlgy sekf baiking 1975 sekf vailing invisible boats
Life jacket, not going to help.
