    • @ross_wilson
      @ross_wilson Před měsícem

      Financially, I worked on a client side teaching music to have some more regular income. Definantly lost hope on the store, but then doing the product research side was what allowed me to find my competition check if my product was still selling in the market or if there was something better. I spent a lot of time on Everbee finding things then created some new listings more in line with competition and paid marketing for about $3 per day to test it. This really helped recover my store.

    • @ross_wilson
      @ross_wilson Před měsícem

      Thanks for the comment, the FAQ photos were a game changer to reduce customer messages. Personally I only stay in the UK market as I can manage delivery expectations better. I have though of partnering internationally for printing but at the moment its easier national and I get the sales I need, so I'd rather keep the rep of the store high with good reviews and stay national rather than risk international.

      Hey, thanks for the comment! AI art is definately the trend at the moment but i find most people are still looking for unique bits or art and handmade. I do have some training and materials coming soon to help start or improve shops (so bit of watch this space) but I wouldn't say your art is ever useless, it might come down to how it's packaged as a listing, SEO photos etc, or it could be that the audience for your art might not be on Etsy but a different platform. I've had products in the past that didn't do well on Etsy but worked better through my own website.

    I loved the #3 settings and showing what happens at different shutter speeds. Now I know how to view what I am looking for with the examples. I really liked the 0.6 sec the best. I have struggled with what actually looks nicer. This really answered my questions and thoughts on what I want and looks best. I finally got the ND filter for my new lens yesterday. We are heading for rough surf (warning just popped up) here in San Diego with coming rain storm in a few days. Excited to go back out at mid to low tide to see what I will capture. • @ross_wilson

      Thanks for the comment! I can only think that you might have it on Parametric Curve instead of Point Curve. At the top of the curves tool are 5 circles, select the one to the left of the red this should open the point curve and allow you to click anywhere on the curve to make the dots. Hopefully this fixes it!

    It's a great tool but as of now I gotta disagree with just shooting everything in focus thinking you might as well fix it in the edit. The Ai tool produces some strange artefacts on the edges between stuff that's in and out of focus, in-camera still does it a lot better.

    • @ross_wilson
      @ross_wilson Před 9 měsíci

      Oh I agree, I'm not going to be shooting everything in focus at f13 above. With a lot of these new tools I'm keen to push them when shooting to see what can be achieved as I always try to think about the edit when shooting, so will try shooting at different focus' and see how the edits go. The Bokeh addition is particularly cool! Hopefully as Adobe gets feedback the artefacts will be improved.

      Thanks for the comment and sub! I haven't tried it as I usually make use of the tone curve and colour grade for this style. As a Pro I fond this intriguing - but one skill you develop as a photogpraher beyond composition is lighting - the image you have created was based around an HDR image which is already a blend of exposures and nodal shadowing fill - this means you are already at a disadvantage to add in other elements - in nature there is only one light source - the sun obviously - this is why some of those elements don't look as naturally integrated as they might or should. The dragon is lit from the front - the background from a different angle etc

  • @Lensman64
    @Lensman64 Před rokem

    Your 100% correct about using it as a tool. We've been using PS for over 30 years and the Gen fill in PS is much more useful as a tool to enhance existing images than creating one from "scratch". It's quite remarkable as a compositional aide specifically regarding object removal and re-composition . Regarding the 1024 limitation: Depending on the scene using a neural depth blur works wonders but you have to apply it judiciously. It's still better to stick with 1024 bits though. Not sure what @enatiodromia 's issue is. As concept art it's looking very nice. Maybe he/she/they don't any (concept) of what concept art is? Well done!

  • @Nemuneo
    @Nemuneo Před rokem

    I appreciate the attempt, but this image has several problems. First, Photoshop's generative intelligence currently does not work well with animals and humans; in fact, the inserted dragon is very fake. Second, I find that the castle is not appropriate for the background image you used and in which I would have made some changes to make it more truthful. Maybe change the mountains or insert a river because the impression I have now is that the landscape is too much like the countryside. The clouds also give me a strange feeling and a better result could have been achieved. The color correction you used in the finished work is not bad but the band of light through the clouds looks very fake and the castle is too brightly lit and should have some shaded parts. Sorry buddy

    • @Lensman64
      @Lensman64 Před rokem

      Hmm I must have missed the recently found photographs of real dragons? When have you ever seen a "real"dragon? That generation could be 100% accurate for all you know! The easy work around for "realistic" (or at least more realistic) images such as animals/humans is to prompt them in MJ and then Gen them in PS. You'll find the results will be quite pleasing. As for the overall concept art he created. It's actually very nice. Not sure what you're seeing?

      @@Lensman64 As you said, integration with Mid Journey or other artificial intelligence can be the perfect combo in getting a consistent result, especially in animals and humans. I never claimed that there were pictures of realistic dragons, and for that very reason I would never have included it that way. A warrior in armor would have been much more functional for the test. As for the rest, I personally do not find the image pleasing and I have explained what the reasons are. The way I see it, it would have been much more appropriate and functional to transform the image to make it more "illustrative" and less realistic. There are elements that clash with each other in the total balance and the lighting and postproduction were not done properly. However, this is my very personal thoughts as a graphic designer and illustrator- I definitely don't want to be petulant :D

    Why is so wrong lighting in your video, you should fix your lighting at your studio first...
