What kind of results are people getting from trying this? I tried a blue banishing earth pentagram, a typical LBRP pentagram, and it felt similar to how you feel after an LBRP but cranked up to 11 with some pressure in my forehead that bordered on a headache. After going about my day for a while that pressure gave way a bit and there was a sensation of the energy falling like snow or confetti from my head

Definitely my favorite of Crowley's instructional texts! I've been using it for over forty years. Of all the books I have on Bhakti-yoga, Liber CLXXV is the only one that encourages one to pick any appropriate Deity from any culture. Hindu texts assume one will only pick Hindu Deities.

15:04 it is likely that the “lineal figure” Crowley mentions is those of the I Ching, as the second chapter in James Legge’s book “Sacred Books of the East”, vol. 16, names them as such. The book was first published in 1882, giving Crowley well enough to time have read the work, and knowing his infatuation with the I Ching his entire life, it would not surprise me if that is what he meant by “lineal figures.” There’s also 64 listed hexagrams in that book, to which Crowley’s stated “1 out of 84 odds” could very likely be a typo and was meant to read 64, not 84. Granted, I don’t know this for certain, but it’s a plausible theory nonetheless. I’ve seen elsewhere people attributing it to the symbols of geomancy, but I’m not very convinced by that argument tbh, at least not in isolation (for the fact of there being only 16 geomantic symbols, no where near either 64 or 84). EDIT: I will also add that Crowley was indeed familiar with the works of Legge, as he mentions the coauthor of Legge’s books, Max Müller, in his introduction to his translation of the Tao Teh King

Reincarnation seems to be a metaphor for our own continual rebirth each new heart beat, breath, meal, day, moon, season, year, job, relationship, life phase, trip around the galaxy, and beyond. It is a reminder that the scale of such cycles includes generations and evolution itself that have no need for the continuity of our limited conception of consciousness but rather call for us to acknowledge our consciousness is but a part of something bigger and our part has been influenced by those before us and will continue to resonate with those that follow. It is just a different framing of karma where you imagine yourself to still experience the consequences of your actions and the world you participated in creating, even after you have passed on.
