I just came back from an incredible week of magic. I was sharing the time with my friends from 17 countries. It was the most magic I’ve seen in a week in a long time. Jill was not able to attend. I saw something she would like…..my friend was kind enough to share. This Amazing 15 seconds…….Enjoy Dedicated to Jill Yeager

This is one of the newest effects that I added to the show. After watching this video, I knew that I made the right decision. It’s dedicated to the great Magic dealer Hank Moorehouse and it is his patter almost shamelessly......

I like to start with a high-energy opening to music. Flashy, Visual Effects that everyone can see and appreciate. This sets the tone for the entire show. Thanks for Watching……..

I miss Jill Yeager! Especially because she generously handles all logistics, when we go do a show. I had a situation where I had to perform at a very early time 9:30AM. I hauled all the stuff, One cart 3 bags, and me! I perform at a fast pace to keep the energy going. Well, After hauling and doing the show! I just needed a break...........

Mark Yeager 10-minute Discussion on Malone’s Magic Bar and how I created my performing persona.
zhlédnutí 26Před 7 měsíci
I was asked to give a short talk about my History at Malone’s Magic Bar as well as other thoughts and ideas on Magic. I apologize if I get a little emotional, some of the people I discussed are gone. This talk gave me a moment to appreciate the experiences of Good and Bad. Everything I say of course is my opinion, and you are welcome to disagree.
Mark Yeager performing "The Magnetized Cane"

I use a cane but since Jill Yeager broke her toe, she has to use one too. This is a vintage wood cane hand-carved with eyes that can scare you. This performance was from the Peoria Magicians Association Convention show and I performed this miracle. Jill wanted me to perform this as you can see as pushed the cane toward me.

Mark Yeager and The Amazing "Rocky the Raccoon"

I have performed with this incredible prop since the 1980's. Rocky was taught to me by Jeff Justice. I met Jeff at a by-invitation Magic Convention. Jeff is one of the most amazing comedians that I have ever known. This is part of my set with this endearing animal. Rocky has been part of my show since then. Please welcome "Rocky".....

Learning from Lance would be a dream come true
It was a surreal experience.......
I've watched too much fool us. The loads and switches are so obvious. Not that he isn't good and it isn't fun to watch the of the originals, but his sleight of hand is just ok at best by today's standards.
Interesting......Slydini created today's standards!
im interacting with this so this video hopefully blows up and then we get to know the person's name
On the show program. It shows Steve from South Korea. I hope that do does get the recognition that he deserves. Steve performed a wonderful act at FFFF 2024!
Can you please tell me who is this talented guy?
I must apoligize, I was so excited about seeing this and sharing with my wife Jill. I didn't get his name. Shame on me! FYI: his full card act was stunning! I will update when I find the name of this card genius.
@@markyeagermastermagician Thank you very much!
*Omg how* 😮
Lance is one of my favourite magicians ever. I love his stage presence. I still remember seeing his dove act, handkerchief candles and so on… such a great performance.
Beautiful
Lance needs more black hair dye. Hahahahaha
wow, I looked all over the place after The Encounter came out for this specific technique through all kinds of books and stuff. I was a kid back then, but on a whim just decided to see if the internet could point me in a direction and what do you know here it is. Amazing...thanks for sharing.
Kiddos happy with the space, and not you…correct?! WalkINBeauty
brilliant. thank you sooooooooooooooooo much for sharing.
Love me some Curtis.
I absolutely LOVED the Simmon & Sher Show and that song, "You Have Me, Baby" They had great shows back on my television days then.
Why didn't Slydini defend special homosexual rights ? He wasn't no dirty mexican !
Awesome, you have this video, but I feel as if you should keep this just for yourself as you're exposing a method for manipulation. Just my two cents.
It's known every where bro
Dang! This mofo could play the new 007. And he doesn't need Q as he has all the gadgets! #respect for this talented entertainer!
Takes me back to 1972 at The Fabulous Trick & Magic Company on East Charleston Blvd where Gary's Club used to meet. Think about Him most everyday and still drive by there once in a while . . . . . . .
you are so good ❤
The repetition of the effect is a good twist most of the time I saw people do it only once. Putting the cards down between the productions help selling the Illusion that there are much more cards produced. Well done!
Always glad to discover Slydini content that I've never seen before!
I met Lance in 1999 after his show in Las Vegas. Lance is a Legend, and such a lovely person.
The “Sly” in his stage name certainly fits! Definitely one of, if not THE greatest closeup magicians ever!
nice
Best slight of hand ever
Lance is amazing!
❤
Thanks for posting this. I have been suffering from depression since 2019. I randomly bought a ticket to the Summer Carnival tour in San Diego. I have been stressing about it for weeks...thinking about selling the ticket. This clip made me feel something approximating joy for the first time since my husband abandoned me for his barista. I am going to do whatever it takes to get to that concert!
Yes, you should go! Do not let issues prevent you from going......Thank you for your kind words!
Excellent sleight, I only caught him once flash the ball in his right hand that was supposed to be empty, the yellow briefly flashed...
Love him!!!
Really nice production idea to hold the hat in the other hand this gives the manipulation a nice impromtu touch. It is also great to see manipulation out of a stage scenario. However I do not understand your Finale because I was missing the climax. In my opinion it makes no sense to drop the hand with the last card behind the body only to backpalm it again. (I thought you would load for a final Fan) You could instead have pretended to throw the card in the Air and vanish it then reproduce on fingertip. I also would leave out the showing of the hands empty move at the end because in my opinion it does not make the last production more impossible.
Needed to regrip.....Thanks for taking the time to let me know. though, I should have put the hat on my head after the initial productions and then focus on the final production.
@@markyeagermastermagician That sounds like a great idea with taking on the hat again. I wish I could handle as many cards as you did in the backpalm that cleanly The regrip was nicely covered. I just thought I comment since I really like your content.
@@markusdeminger8811 I use super thin fanning cards from Approach Magic. For me, the best number to produce is 12, and I keep track of the count in my head. The 12th card should be produced much better than in this clip. Jeff McBride is a friend and in my opinion, is the best card manipulator in the world. Thanks for your kind words about my content...
@@markyeagermastermagicianWhile Jeff is a brilliant card manipulator, I personally find Lance Burton's long wizardy fingers most artistic and magical to watch.. That being said, you are also no less impressive.. Bravo!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
@@jhsdfjhgjh Thank you for your kind words! Understanding Jeff & Lance's skills is a lofty goal. Lance kindly shared one of his card techniques on a video that Jill Yeager recorded. They both have a wonderful style with the cards!
Give thanks for Mr. Dick Cavett. Because of him, we have video recordings of all this wonderful talent through the years. Thank you, Mr. Cavett
I took lessons with Slydini at Mostly Magic in nyc .
Very interesting he’s always been great
Superb👌🏻👌🏻
Thank you for your kind words!
Cher said he smelled like a goat.
I'm curious where you heard this?
Tannen's, 1980.
@@tyronejoihnson7046 It was „Kouros“ from Yves Saint Laurent.
This is a wonderful 6 minute clip of a Slydini performance highlighting his One Coin and Sponge Ball routines on his 1975 first appearance on the Dick Cavett show .Note Steve Allen in the plaid jacket sitting on Cavett's left.
Did not notice that. Love Cavett and Allen both, wonderful hosts.
❤💯👍🍾
Great fun show.💯👍
What a superb sequence! Really well thought out. I’m a Michael Skinner fan, but I don’t think I’ve come across this particular Ace production in his publications. Thanks for sharing.
That was an electric audience for you?? Wow, one of the lamest performances I've ever seen! The rope trick was acceptable, best part of your routine by far, the rest was literally horrible and almost painful to watch. What a GRACIOUS audience to give you as much response as they did, which was meager at best.
Great performance! He handled the "ball question" like a pro and the flash of the first big ball, too! Keep on going, bro! 👍
Yes this comment in my opinion was handled properly....Thank you for the kind words...
What did the woman say?
I don't like sponge ball routines, and yet, I would watch Slydini perform an hour straight of nothing but sponge ball magic. Incredible.
I saw his full length stage show, then took classes with him the next day! Lifetime Memory!
I tried Slydini's sponge ball routine. Sometimes a sponge ball would fall on the floor. So I never did it for anyone. I saw Slydini do his sponge routine and one ball fell on the floor, but Slydini kept going. I was probably the only person that noticed a sponge ball was missing.
@@markyeagermastermagicianOh wow. I wonder what he was like on stage. I thought he only did closeup at tables. Would have loved to see how he adapted to platform style.
Good job👍

Oh wow, I think I saw you at Magifest this weekend!
Yes..... wasn't it incredible! Thank you for your interest
I loved it! Great job!
He did you do that. Lol😂
Always a thrill to watch the Master at work. I bought his two volume set (photos and text) when I was 17 (1979) for 120.00. I learned most of his coin routines, the 'helicopter' card trick and a few cigarette effects (most of which he had done on his first DC show). Those volumes impressed upon me the creative potential of Magic (sleight of hand)...Slydini could not read (or afford) magic books in his day, so, he decided he would invent his own magic, his own sleight of hand (so much depends upon 'controlling the angles'). Today, there is virtually no table magician that does not incorporate one of more of Slydini's moves.
Looks like a young L Ron
Took 5 lessons from Slydini in 1980. Enjoyed watching him perform his coins thru the table.
Lucky man! It sounds like he was a great teacher! His coins thru table is still one of my favorites to perform, just so fun, so satisfying. I can't make it sound like a gunshot like he does, without arm movement. He must have had very strong hands
I don't remember the loud sound. I do remember him showing the imp pass. I said to Slydini, "I know what you are doing, but I don't see the switch."@@johnhein2539
That's awesome. It is weird to know the exact moves he is doing but not be able to see them. He was so natural.
