Best of All Worlds Sammy Hagar
Not just a tribute, but two original members of Van Halen with probably the best hired gun / guitar virtuoso available in the world today, Joe Satriani. Outstanding night, the weather cooperated, Loverboy (the opening band) was in fine form and the crowd was super into it all. Great night for me, thanks Matt Wise, and some more great memories for my vault. So bummed they cancelled Floyd Fest this year. Shoulda never tried moving it to Check.
How about the metal grave marker behind the Meadows of Dan Baptist Church where you'd leave your $5 and moonshiners would exchange it for a pint of corn likker.
Everything changes... the zoo and boat are gone but we still go there and rent a cabin at least once a year. Nancy's Candy's is a must stop. Poor Farmers Market is packed full of people most of the year and has all kinds of things. I love the Meadows of Dan Market across from the Poor Farmers Market, they have everything!!. Just park to eat/shop and make a day of it. Janes Country Cafe is a great place to eat and Longfin's has someone of the best seafood ever and quite a huge menu. Of course the Blueridge Parkway. Buffalo Mtn hiking. Meadows of Dan is still a great, peaceful and perfect place to visit or stay for a weekend.

It's a rental but I didn't make the reservation. The address is 4807 Ocean Drive, Emerald Isle. Any agent there should be able to help you. It is very nice. Elevator is sweet.

Maybe at the Meadows of Dan Baptist Church? I have an aunt & uncle (Webb) buried there. My grandmother (Reynolds) was buried in another cemetery, surrounded on 3 sides by evergreens that some little old lady planted by hand years ago. I couldn’t find it on a map but I think it’s on Squirrel Spur Road.
@@yourekittenme. Thanks for your response. You are correct that it is on /off of Squirrel Spur Road (Suppose to be between the Blue Ridge Parkway and Road 614, on the Posey Shelor place. I am related to the Reynolds (my line moved into Eastern Kentucky in the 1840's).

Beautiful video! I have wonderful memories of Meadows of Dan from the early 70's. My father (Carl Shew) helped a lot on the Queen. He was the supervisor of the Circle M Farm & also helped at the zoo. Herbert & Margaret Burge ran the General Store & lived in the house.
