What would be a good starting spring table on an imca modified with a crate?
I know a guy named Paul Glasco that is down in Louisiana that actually installs swimming pools. So I certainly can help with making that pool a reality! 😁 He owns Plant Pools out of Lake Charles, Louisiana! Just let him know that TheCrewChief that watches his Legally Armed America CZcams channel told you about his pool company!
Yep, copying wont always get you where you want to be. I call that the dog turd effect, a guy wins on Fri night with a dog turd on his hood. Sat night many cars will be sporting dog turds.
What's a good starting point on the angle of the bar?
Getting started soon
What is that tool called that you are using to compress it
Thank you guys!
Great shows , keep up the good work !
🌺 *Promo SM*
dude sounds like Biden!! But tire guy makes sense. 😁😁
Congrats on 100 episodes!!!
Rex Merritt was always a fun person to be around, since I learned a few things, including that he had a lot of injuries after the wreck at Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee, Oklahoma, which I recall they at least had to take the roof off the car if not the top of the cage to get Rex out of the car, which after the wreck I made my way up to the hospital in order to check in on him, which is the first time I met Rex's wife. Nonetheless the crash did not take Rex's quick wit and humor away, and as I recall him telling me at another race he jumped into a late model the next night, which being younger I did not see how he was going to race, so I went to Joplin the next night, so I missed him driving a late model at Muskogee the next night. Since I was there to work with him, since the regular driver I would have normally worked with was off racing at another track, which it was a short night to say the least.
Well I wish that I could have found out whether or not the story I was told by one of Harris Auto Racing salesmen that Greg Skaggs work with was true. Which also was a promo video for Harris Auto Racing, when Kenny back the white #25 Kodiak car off of turn one at whichever track that happen to me, did Ken actually tell you what he wanted in the setup before he back the car off the turn, then came back and told Kelly and you (Bob) to set the car up the way that Kelly and you (Bob) would set the car up? (I just want to know if that was a true story from your former salesmen for Harris Auto Racing or was it like most auto racing stories not exactly what actually happened?)
Thank you guys
😎👍🏼
The alternator is more preferable, yet you can use two batteries in series provided if you can actually use two batteries! (Yes I heard that IMCA only allow one battery in a car via the rules!)
You guys do a Great Job. I am trying to get back into racing after being priced out over 11 years ago and really appreciate all of the info. Thanks Mike from Volusia, Fl.
I remember when a 500lb spring was considered soft 😂 I’m getting old
😮
Echo echo echo 2 y’all need headphones.
Can you explain this technique for Us that Dirt Over go-kart racing With clone engines That basically you have to keep momentum
And "he do take steroids" LMAO
Thanks for posting.
U can get them cars around there with lots of GEAR ⚙️ But I don’t think the “stock cars” have the right or enough “rear” suspension!!
Thank you guys!
thank you guys!
Jason whitehead in a stock car runs. 325 LR and 2-225 RR and he’s bad fast !!
150 LR 250 RR on imca stockcar 😳🤷🏼??
How do you feel about a 20 Hoosier right front on a IMCA northern sport mod
Very cool of y’all to “GIvE OUT” info to guys, many people won’t or if they do their giving people very bad info!! All the best to y’all
Hey guys, Macon Speedway is sending 3 racers to "The Dome". Why don't you two Buy Macon Speedway and Chad can sell Lots of parts. We go thru them. Love your show but since we are just finished our third year I get confused when you say add or subtract on a setup sometimes.
thanks guys
Thanks for tuning in!
Thanks for showing literally nothing. Waste of time
You must have been told you're dying in a few weeks to be worried about those 37sec. It says "Trailer" in the title you ass clown. You must be fun at parties. Do you get mad at movie theaters when the movie trailers are not full movies also?
thank you guys
Thanks for watching!
So do you have to always have a solid stick opposite your load stick?
Hay Bob, I've even changed wheels on the front ? Move LF in and RF out ? To change track of tires is that the same as moving Rear track left and right ! First show I've set to watch the hole thing for a while, not been to the track much this year been doing a lot of my adjusting from home on the phone, just kind of lost interest for this year hopefully next year will be better for my racing terminology ! Love learning more just hope my brain don't but out the old knowledge.
Moving the LF in and RF out is similar but I've found it to be more effective on dry to just move the RF out. Remember anytime you do this you're change left side percentage.
@@racetechinfo1 It would give you more left side as to making the left front spring think it stiffer ?
The we load will be stiffer making the LF feel stiffer and the RF feel softer @@danamcintyre3565
Thank you guys
No problem, thanks for watching!
what is the quickest way to tighten a race car on corner exit for more side bite
Suck the right rear in u can also space the LR out say 1/2” along with sucking the RR in with say a 4 offset Move some weight over higher on right rear to
First time at Boone for me. One word description-- Spectacular!!!
Boone would be better off to have multiple qualifying events throughout the year, having the Super Nationals as the final event of the year. That way the drivers there for the Super Nationals moved into the finals, to which there isn't 2500 cars there all attempting to fill 33 spots for the main event!
The UMP car's I have seen don't have a very tall spoiler.
Thank you guys again!
Thank you guys! I raced modifieds when i was a teen and into my 20s back in the early 2000's. I just bought a new modified chassis after being away from racing for almost 15 years. I raced a 4 bar Shaw chassis for a year before i quit and didnt learn much with it. The videos Bob and Chad have on CZcams have been such a valueable tool and i am so greatful that yall take the time to help your fellow competitors. It has helped me understand so much about my racecar and i thank you.
Snagging more great tips with Bob and Chad!
Glad you enjoy the show😁
@@racetechinfo1 Well I have enjoy listening or reading anything from Bob Harris since the mid 90s when I was working with Greg Skaggs and his Harris cars! Even worked at Harris Auto Racing for a short time when Clark was the owner out Le Mars, Iowa. Which it would be fantastic if I could come to work with the folks at BHE!
Soo... where's the break point to run a heavier vs lighter spring from your 12 inches?
The 12" seems to like the 225 or 250. Partially it is a driver preference or trial and error.
Why not just raise the rear roll center? Raise the Panhard bar or Watts link height. You get faster weight transfer, less roll for the same spring rate. Less roll = less roll steer. can use softer compression and rebound
No one knows what roll rate is in dirt racing. We’ve developed our own language of nonsensical jargon that helps confuse everyone using it
Because that makes too much sense lol. The panhard damn sure would get it to transfer quicker, not a spring height. He acts like you change the spring height and never move the jack bolt lol
There ai t a pan hard bar on a stock car so that’s why
I would like to be a fly on the wall with a recording camera when Bob Harris gets to the end of his rope with his current computer, Internet, and that worthless mouse, by taking a baseball bat to the computer, and modem, and the mouse that decides to stop working midstream. Then throw it all out the window, to the amazement of everyone seeing the culprit that drove Bob Harris over the edge get its just reward! 😂 (Sarcasm) Then Bob goes fishing!
I most certainly like seeing the inner workings, or behind the scenes of motorsports, since I worked behind the scenes, from working on building racecars, to working on cars at the track since the 80s! Moreover, I have been all around the country and even into Canada for motorsports events!
😂 Sounds like the wild kingdom of Bob Harris' house!
Thank you for this. This will really help me.
