We have experience with the Bulldog Valve. We have had a couple of leaks that were prevented as the sensor detected it and shut off the water at the main valve. Having recently had a big insurance claim for a leak, we need to protect our home from another leak as we heard that the Insurance Company can drop us if it happens again.

Its a great Idea - looks like its 3d printed - metal would be better for security and it certainly needs security screws so it can't just be unscrewed from the gate. Since its been 5 years now I suppose this product isn't going to happen. In the meantime I made my own metal gate with electro-magnetic latching/locking - way more work to do it yourself. But having a (visual) remote lock/unlock button in the house and being able to schedule unlock & relock times, auto-relock after delay & remote control by phone is a great addition to a smart house. This product deserves to exist - there is a market for sure!

Hello! In the description of the sensor on the Aqara website it is written that the button on the body should become programmable. Can you currently assign any actions to the button?

These things can also be used for turning off natural gas valves. You can use arduino gas sensors to activate them. Everyone using propane/natural gas should install them. I have a natural gas well and have used it for everything in my house for almost 20 years but I use a linear actuator. This should work ok too.

So, just to correct you. We actually covered our Baja Shelf like you recommended, which did keep the racoons from lounging there. But to say they won't go into your pool because they can't touch is not accurate. I got videos of them diving into the side of the pool, and climbing out. So to date I don't have a way to keep them out of the pool.

Just throwing it out there, with the Kasa switches, the status light on the switch turns on when the light is off giving it a sort of night light feature. It's bright enough to be seen during the day so you'll always be able to tell the status of the switch regardless of if you can see the light or not

This is an amazing device! I've also been looking high and low for a Z-Wave (or zigbee) preferably matter compatible plug and play mortise lock for a standard white plastic sliding glass door. Is this something you guys would ever put into production? I would be your first customer immediately!
