What would you recommend between the Henson and Supply?

I used to snag Seiko 5's on Ebay in the 2012 period in the $50's on ebay. Your video was done 5 years ago and it's crazy what the prices have done. There are only to autos I really want. A Rolex Datejust in white gold and a Grand Seiko. I really respect the companies that make their own movements. Most are case companies putting a crate motor inside. I don't have much time for the "let's throw the bog standard Ronda or Miyota mvmt in it and act like we built a watch.

try a Nacet...it will turn the Henson into a light saber...RK are an okay value but not a great blade...I suppose one shave per blade since they are so cheap.

Thanks for this video! I was about to purchase a Supply starter kit today but changed my mind when I noticed that the blades are coated with PTFE (a PFAS compound). A bit surprising business decision by the Supply team given the demographic of their target audience but oh well.

Do these help with ingrown hairs well? I currently use a single edge razor and still struggle with ingrowns

I looked through your videos, but it wasn't clear if you tried a single edge razor using Feather Artist Club blades. After trying various DE razors, plus GEM SE razors and Schick injector razors I think I prefer single edge razors (namely the RazoRock Hawk V3 open comb) using Feather Professional Super blades, due to the wider and thicker blades. Feather Artist Club blades are ones used by many professional barbers when providing a 'straight razor' shave, since new blades can be used for each customer instead of maintaining a true straight razor. It provides a more comfortable and very, very efficient shave than normal double edge razors (of varying aggressiveness). For closest results I usually end a shave with a very aggressive DE safety razor and Feather Hi-Stainless blades to clear out any persistent stubble. Since the majority of beard growth is already gone, very aggressive razors and blades are 'tamed' making it more comfortable than if using such an aggressive razor for the entire shave.

just seen a commercial for this on youtube. i would like to shave to skin, but the cost is just insane. so i bought hair clippers. ofc use no guards and call it good enough. lol. but i always look for a cheap good way to shave properly. it blows me away there seems to be no good, reasonable way in america to shave properly anymore. for a country that is supposed to be about stopping waste, carbon footprints and stuff. they sure have no problem with waste when it puts money in their pockets......
