    Great video, I am aiming to also climb Edith Cavell next summer and I am trying to collect some beta. Did you end up using ropes at all during the 5.3 section? I also have seen various reports of snow along the top ridge, it didn't seem like you needed any crampons along the top at all? Appreciate the high level of detail in your video.

      Hi, we done it last year in August, there was no much snow at the time, also we soloed all the way the way to summit, no ropes were need it, even though, we had 30m, and harness, we came prepared for this mountain.

    Nice video. BTW, the north summit of Wasootch Peak (that you pointed to) is the exact same height of the main peak that most people ascend. You can actually ascend Wasootch North from the north side as well. I posted a video that shows that route with continuation to Kananaskis Peak and down via the creek.

    • @DougLutz
      @DougLutz Před 4 měsíci

      AllFails (and Gaia) are wrong wrt. Where they mark the summit. The true summit is actually where you indicate at 18:35. Here’s my video of the north ascent of “Wasootch Peak” traverse to “Kananaskis Peak” on Mar 20, 2021 with Mike Buenting. czcams.com/video/xgK7UZC4VR0/video.htmlsi=pJjXSZglb8HebrMK

    I climbed and descended this Mountain in 1982. Weather conditions were ok but it was after a storm, so lots of melting ice and snow on the descent. It's a harder mountain to go down than go up. 4 hours up from the hut...5.5 hours down
