Funny Don. I just read Andrew’s book. It opened my eyes that I don’t trust the legal system. What a minefield. I love the part that even if you don’t get charged you get sued and loose everything. I only carrying now when I’m out with my wife. I’m curious. Do you and Andrew actually carry a concealed weapon when out in public?

Thanks Don after hearing you video and many others and reading Andrew Branca book The Law of self defense. I’m convinced self defense is a myth. I’ve been carrying 24/7 for last 17yrs. Now I only carry if I’m out with my wife. When I’m out by my myself I never carry anymore. I have more options. I can run away. Not with my wife though. You forgot to mention that no matter the result of trial you’ll be sued for a million dollars also.

Why is it ok for police to put there hands on their weapon when talking to you, you can’t put your hands on your HIDDEN weapon when you think your in danger?

I am a member of CCW Safe and always thought they had the best policy and benefits. However, after watching this and listening to the answers, I now realize that having Don West decide what attorney to hire for me if I need one along with this other goofball advising as litigation council, I would be poorly represented. It has taught me a valuable lesson to research who is behind the contracts making decisions.

i feel this is fundamentally wrong to universalise all tunnel vision is a failure or inability of brain to process vision. i am not an expert but i strongly feel that it is the inability somewhere on or nearabout our retina to create a correct or sufficient information( by way of image or registering an image) which is decoded by our brain to get a clear vision.

Because of the several questions and comments I posted here previously, I wanted to tell all reading these that after reading the contract again and talking with them by phone, I decided CCW Safe was the best choice for myself and my son and purchased their service.

@ccwsafe Sorry, I have one more question. I know that some companies only cover felonies and exclude misdemeanors. Misdemeanors can break you financially and cause significant jail time. I do find this addressed on the website or in the contract. Please advise if your coverage is for both or just felonies.

In the current political climit of left wing DA's, my firearms is for the protection of my family and myself. Unless something is happening in front of me, I'll looking for a way out.

Great company and coverage!

My family is on my CCW plan and we routinely speak about "what if". Telling my wife and daughter that our 'paid legal experts' said she needs to "take a punch" is not a good look for CCW Safe. I've heard your guy say that before (9:35), but - literally - arm chair quarterbacking someone's intent to harm v great bodily harm is a fool's game. I understand the intent behind the comment, but presented as "expert litigation consult" just isn't helpful in "getting our arms around the "legal principles and concepts of self defense". What about offering links or interviews with actual self-defense experts on how to avoid or lessen a fist attack in the first place by announcing the presence of a lethal defense tool? What about offering case studies of 'when the defender draws their defense tool in situation A, B and C ... these are the likely legal outcomes or something more applicable than bar room bravado. Regardless, I greatly appreciate CCW's improved outreach to address these important topics.

All over CZcams and the internet lately, you find videos from that new company Attorneys On Retainer (AOR). Their main company spokesman Marc Victor claims that insurance based companies, including CCW Safe, could leave you high and dry when legal defense and coverage is needed. How does CCW Safe compare to them? They imply that so many companies, including CCW Safe, are not as good because they are insurance backed companies and AOR is a law firm so they're different. How do you reply to their statements? Do you cover members no matter what like he claims his company does? What are the differences between CCW Safe and AOR? I think these are questions that a lot of people would like you to respond to and be interested to hear your replies to his comments.

Any experience or knowledge about the effectiveness of the fluted copper bullets from Lehigh Defense? Those would be from Underwood Extreme Defense and Black Hills Honey Badger.

I get so frustrated with the whole politicized corrupt system of "Law" we must live under. In obvious cases it males you wonder why we even have judges? Technicalities overriding truth? They are supposed to be able to employ commom sense. I hope CCW Safe stands by all they promise too (as a member) because like any business, if the funds dry up, you are on your own.

I spent an entire year researching these services and just bought a CCW Safe policy. I live in an anti-gun state and can barely afford to survive and I have been a responsible permit holder and firearms owner for over 35 years. I pray I will never need this service but I also know I would be completely stuck without it. I would never use a firearm in a defense situation unless it was dire. But we all know how the elite progressives like to politicize any defense shooting, which is a shame. I hope with all my heart CCW Safe is there for me if I need them with all they promise. I am glad there are some seasoned professionals who understand this extremely crucial need and did something about it.

I feel like so many of these questionable cases could likely be resolved by the use of OC spray, which is why I carry it as well. Doesn’t seem super common though.

Best cc coverage in my opinion. I spent months reading the fine print of the top five companies and I went with CCW Safe. Bonus that these guys are the legal consultants!
