Unfortunately I have to correct my comment and I did it exactly like that and the paint cracked and defaced the picture. The paint is cracked everywhere. I'm sorry but I can't recommend it.

I appreciate that you showed us how you mix your paint in the cups. You'd be surprised that for something that is so simple and routine to you just isn't clear to someone like me who's never done it. Most people just rattle off their ratios and I'm not always clear what 50 percent this to 30 percent that to half water to 50 percent glue and the percentages don't add up to a hundred and then I'm all confused. You were very precise with your measurements and there was no confusion or muddled ratios. I think with your specific instructions I can probably do this too. And your sand was gorgeous.

I love this video and the process. I tried it myself and loved the results while it was wet… But then all the white disappeared when it dried and just left a light residue look behind. Any idea what I did wrong?
