Woodline Budgies 3 of 3
zhlédnutí 15KPřed 10 lety
This long overdue footage, courtesy of Vasil Kurtseba, shows just how many budgerigars visited the camp at Woodline, Western Australia, in November 2011. They are all wild. We have since learned that they were all juveniles, but we have not got any explanation for their curiosity and lack of fear. A few hours later they were gone and we never saw them again.
More Budgies from Woodline
zhlédnutí 39KPřed 11 lety
It is high time that I provided some context to the first Woodline Budgie Video. This footage shows more birds that are not quite as tame as the amazing footage posted last year. In this short clip, the birds allow close approaches but when the get startled they fly to a nearby tree before returning. I will upload one more high-res video soon which shows that there were hundreds of birds there ...
Wild Budgerigars

Courtesy of Rob Wood - driller on Woodline gold exploration Project: Wild budgerigars behaving in the most extraordinary way !! 2017 and Time For Some Further Explanation. I don't check this video often and am amazed to see how many people have seen it. Thanks for all the nice feedback. Scrolling through the comments, there are some recurring questions and statements. 1. Yes the birds are wild....
Literal Harry Potter Parody

A parody of a parody. This is the greatest Harry Potter trailer ever made. To make sense of this small screen sensation you might need to watch "Literal Harry Potter" first. Enjoy!

Siegi is a farmer in Dorrigo. He broke a lumbar vertebrae and spent two weeks recovering in Coffs Harbour Hospital. He was very keen to get back to work and this was his solution

    If the wild budgies knew how dangerous human could be, locked them in cages, no sun room, clipped the wings. Human can do anything for their own pleasure 😢 How sad 😔 Thank you for sharing your videos ❤

    For those of you wondering why they're acting so "tame", these are very young budgies that are still practicing how to fly. That's why they are chubbier than full-grown adult budgies lol

    They are looking for water and mistake the glass for it. They seem exhausted. That is not tame. That's really thirsty.

    These budgies are still babies. At this age, almost all budgies are tame. Later in their teenage years they will no longer be so tame. Once they get past that teenage phase, if you're lucky, they'll become tame.

  • @spino-tinodon1146
    @spino-tinodon1146 Před 3 měsíci

    I don't think that these Budgies are completely wild. They must be semi domesticated. A fully wild Budgie would not allow itself to be petted. Least of all getting picked up like that.

    My pet budgie was very social. We'd let it fly in a bedroom for exercise but it was easy to get back in the cage. Later in life, when I had an aviary of 40 or so budgies, none of them were social to humans. You couldn't get near them (except for someone's escaped budgie who found the aviary and we let it in). They were extremely social with each other. The one that wanted in was very good to a more elderly female who couldn't fly. He would feed it (regurgitating food) and when she was climbing the wire from the seed bowls, he would climb with her chatting away until she reached the perches.
